2024 Summer Olympics
The 2024 Summer Olympics (french: Jeux olympiques d'été de 2024), officially the Games of the XXXIII Olympiad (french: Jeux de la XXXIIIe Olympiade, links=no) and also known as Paris 2024, is an upcoming international multi-sport event that is scheduled to take place from 26 July to 11 August 2024 with Paris as its main host city and 16 cities spread across Metropolitan France and one in the French overseas territory of Tahiti as subsites. Paris was awarded the Games at the 131st IOC Session in Lima, Peru, on 13 September 2017. Due to multiple withdrawals that left only Paris bid for the 2024 Summer Olympics, Paris and Los Angeles bid for the 2024 Summer Olympics, Los Angeles in contention, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) approved a process to concurrently award the 2024 and 2028 Summer Olympics to the two cities. The 2024 United States Olympic gymnastics team trials were the United States Olympic trials (gymnastics), Olympic gymnastics team trials held June 27–30, 2024 at the Target Center in Minneapolis. At the conclusion of the event USA Gymnastics named both the men's and women's team to represent the United States at the 2024 Summer Olympics. 2024 United States Olympic Trials (track And Field)
The 2024 United States Olympic trials for track and field will be staged at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon. Organized by USA Track and Field, the ten-day competition will last from June 21 to 30 and will serve as the national championships in track and field for the United States. The marathon trials will be held on February 3, 2024, in Orlando, Florida. During the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, track and field events will be held between Thursday, August 1 and Sunday, August 11 with competition beginning each day at 4 am. ET.
