2024 League1 Canada Season
The 2024 League1 Canada season is the third edition of League1 Canada, the 3rd division soccer in Canada. It includes league competitions from its four member leagues, and an inter-provincial championship for select teams from the women's divisions. The 2024 League1 Canada season is the first to include the men's and women's divisions of League1 Alberta. League1 Canada (L1C; french: Ligue1 Canada) is a national soccer competition in Canada which acts as the third tier in the Canadian soccer league system below the Canadian Premier League, consisting of the highest level sanctioned provincial league in three of the provinces of Canada. League1 Canada is contested by clubs from three divisions; these are League1 Ontario, League1 British Columbia, and the Première ligue de soccer du Québec for both the men's and women's divisions. 2024 Ligue1 Québec Féminine Season
The 2024 Ligue1 Québec féminine season will be the seventh season of play for Ligue1 Québec (and the second since rebranding from the Première ligue de soccer du Québec), a Division 3 women's soccer league in the Canadian soccer pyramid and the highest level of soccer based in the Canadian province of Québec. Changes from 2023 The teams will be split into two divisions based on geography, rather than hosting a single division as in previous seasons. The league champion will be decided through a playoff system, instead of the team with the highest point total. The Coupe L1Q will not be held in 2024. Calgary Blizzard WSC
Calgary Blizzard Soccer Club is a Canadian soccer team based in Calgary, Alberta that plays in the men's and women's divisions of League1 Alberta. History The club was founded in 1967 with a team of 11 and 12-year-old boys, who represented the province of Alberta at an Expo 67 soccer competition in Montreal, and upon their return, they adopted the name of a defunct Canadian Junior Football team (North Hill Blizzards) and became an official club. In March 1977, the club was registered as a Society in the Province of Alberta. In August 2019, they received the National Youth Club Licence from the Canadian Soccer Association, which recognizes the highest achieving organizations from across Canada and must adhere to a set of standards for club and player development. CONCACAF W Champions Cup
The CONCACAF W Champions Cup is an upcoming annual continental women's football club competition organized by CONCACAF that determines the club champion for the region encompassing North America, Central America and the Caribbean. The competition will involve the top women's clubs from the region, and will serve as the qualification tournament for the future FIFA Women's Club World Cup. Women's Inter-Provincial Championship
The Women's Inter-Provincial Championship is an annual soccer tournament organized by League1 Canada. Established in 2022, it is contested by the champions of each of the League1 Canada member leagues. The winner is considered to be the national champion and has qualified to the CONCACAF W Champions Cup since 2023. Format The Inter-Provincial Championship is a four-team knockout tournament played in August, immediately following the regular season. It is played over a single weekend with the semifinals held on Friday and the finals and third-place match on Sunday. The host of the tournament rotates between the member leagues. The winners of each member league ( Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario, and Quebec) qualify for the tournament. 2024 Canadian Championship
The 2024 Canadian Championship () will be the seventeenth edition of the Canadian Championship, the premier men's domestic cup competition in Canadian soccer, and the 23rd competition staged to determine the winner of the Voyageurs Cup. It will feature all eleven professional men's soccer teams in Canada, from Major League Soccer and the Canadian Premier League, along with the champions of the three semi-professional League1 Canada competitions. League1 Alberta (L1AB) is a proposed semi-professional men's and women's soccer league in Alberta, Canada, to be sanctioned by the Canadian Soccer Association and the Alberta Soccer Association as a tier 3 league in the Canadian soccer league system. Belonging to the League1 Canada organization, the men's division will fall below the Canadian Premier League (CPL), and both divisions will be equivalent to current pro-am leagues in British Columbia, Ontario, and Quebec. The Inter-Provincial Championship is a three-day cricket tournament in Ireland, played between regional teams drawn from three of Ireland's five provincial unions. It parallels first-class cricket tournaments in other countries such as the County Championship of England and the Sheffield Shield of Australia.
