2024 Big Ten Conference Football Season
The 2024 Big Ten Conference football season is the 129th season of college football play for the Big Ten Conference and part of the 2024 NCAA Division I FBS football season. This is the Big Ten's first season with 18 teams with the additions of UCLA, USC, Oregon, and Washington, and its first season since 2010 with a non-divisional scheduling format. Previous season Michigan won the East Division championship, with the Wolverines making their third consecutive appearance in the Big Ten Championship Game. In the West Division, Iowa won the division title and made their third championship game appearance. In that championship game, Michigan defeated Iowa 26–0 to win the Big Ten championship. With that win, the Wolverines landed a spot in the 2023–24 College Football Playoff as the No. 1 seed and ultimately won the national championship. Oregon Ducks Football
The Oregon Ducks football program is a college football team for the University of Oregon, located in the U.S. state of Oregon. The team competes at the NCAA Division I level in the FBS and is a member of the Pac-12 Conference (Pac-12). Harlon T. Barnett (born January 2, 1967) is an American football coach and former player. Barnett previously served as associate head coach/co-defensive coordinator at Michigan State University as well as defensive coordinator/defensive backs coach at Florida State University. Melvin Tucker II (born January 4, 1972) is an American football coach and former player. He is currently the head football coach at Michigan State University, a position he has held since 2020. Previously, Tucker served as the head football coach at Colorado for the 2019 season. David Braun (American Football)
David Braun is an American college football coach and former player. He is currently the head coach and defensive coordinator for Northwestern. Coaching career Braun is from Wales, Wisconsin, where he attended Kettle Moraine High School. Pat Fitzgerald
Patrick William Fitzgerald Jr. (born December 2, 1974) is the current head coach of the Northwestern University Wildcats football team. He was selected after the unexpected death of Randy Walker and announced at a press conference on July 7, 2006. He was 31 at the time, making him the youngest head football coach in the Big Ten Conference and NCAA Division I FBS by five years. Fitzgerald would go on to become the longest-tenured head coach in Northwestern football history and entering the 2022 season is the fifth longest-tenured head coach in Division I FBS. 2023 Washington Huskies Football Team
The 2023 Washington Huskies football team represented the University of Washington as a member of the Pac–12 Conference during the 2023 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Huskies were led by Kalen DeBoer in his second and final season as Washington's head coach, before leaving for Alabama at the end of the season.
