2023–24 In Ukrainian Football
The 2023–24 season is the 33rd season of competitive association football in Ukraine since dissolution of the Soviet Union. With the continuation of the Russo-Ukrainian War, the Ukrainian Association of Football (UAF) decided to go forward with continuation of another season. The UAF approved round-robin tournaments in all national league competitions under strict safety precautions. 2023–24 Ukrainian Premier League
The 2023–24 Ukrainian Premier League season, referred to as the VBet Liha for sponsorship reasons, is the 33rd top-level football club competition since the fall of the Soviet Union and the 16th since the establishment of the Ukrainian Premier League. On June 7, 2023 the UPL published highlights of the next season regulation draft announcing that preliminary the next season is expected to start on July 29. Also, this season is expected to have the national cup competitions restored which expected to start on August 16. The season regulation draft is yet to be approved by the General Assembly of the UPL participants. Teams This season the Ukrainian Premier League remained at 16 teams. Two teams had their status suspended due to the Russian occupation and/or destruction of their sports infrastructure. Andriy Mykolayovych Yarmolenko ( uk, Андрій Миколайович Ярмоленко; born 23 October 1989) is a Ukrainian professional footballer who plays as a winger or forward for Emirati UAE Pro League club Al Ain and captains the Ukraine national team. Davide Frattesi (born 22 September 1999) is an Italian professional footballer who plays as midfielder for Serie A club Inter Milan, and the Italy national team. Georgi Kabakov
Georgi Kabakov ( bg, Георги Кабаков; born 22 February 1986 in Plovdiv) is a Bulgarian international football referee. He became a football referee in 2001. In 2007, he was promoted to the Bulgarian top division. Until 2017, he has officiated more than 120 games in it. In 2013, Kabakov was a CORE 13 participant. In 2013, he became a FIFA referee. The Stadion Wrocław ( en, Wrocław Stadium), known for sponsorship reasons as the Tarczyński Arena Wrocław since 2021, is a UEFA Category Four association football stadium built for the 2012 UEFA European Football Championship. Oleksandr Volodymyrovych Zinchenko ( uk, Олександр Володимирович Зінченко; born 15 December 1996) is a Ukrainian professional footballer who plays as a defender or midfielder for club Arsenal and the Ukraine national team. UEFA Euro 2024 Qualifying Group C
Group C of UEFA Euro 2024 qualifying was one of the ten groups to decide which teams would qualify for the UEFA Euro 2024 final tournament in Germany. Group C consisted of five teams: England, Italy, Malta, North Macedonia, and Ukraine. The teams played against each other home-and-away in a round-robin format. The group saw England and Italy meet again, having faced each other in the UEFA Euro 2020 final. The top two teams, England and Italy, qualified directly for the final tournament.
