2023–24 Southeastern Conference Men's Basketball Season
The 2023–24 Southeastern Conference men's basketball season began with practices in October followed by the 2023–24 NCAA Division I men's basketball season, which started November 6, 2023. Conference began on January 6, 2024, and will end in March, after which 14 member teams will participate in the 2024 SEC men's basketball tournament at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. The tournament champion will receive the conference's automatic bid to the 2024 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament, 2024 NCAA tournament. NCAA Division I (D-I) is the highest level of College athletics, intercollegiate athletics sanctioned by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) in the United States, which accepts players globally. D-I schools include the major collegiate athletic powers, with large budgets, more elaborate facilities and more athletic scholarships than Divisions II and III as well as many smaller schools committed to the highest level of intercollegiate competition.
