The 2023–24 Big Ten men's basketball season was the season for Big Ten Conference basketball teams that began with practices in October 2023, followed by the start of the 2023–24 NCAA Division I men's basketball season in November 2023. The regular season ended on March 10, 2024. With a win over 2023–24 Michigan State Spartans men's basketball team, Michigan State on March 2, 2023–24 Purdue Boilermakers men's basketball team, Purdue clinched a share of the Big Ten regular season championship. With a win over 2023–24 Illinois Fighting Illini men's basketball team, Illinois on March 5, the Boilermakers secured the outright Big Ten regular season championship for the second consecutive season and 26th overall. NCAA Division I (D-I) is the highest level of College athletics, intercollegiate athletics sanctioned by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) in the United States, which accepts players globally.
