The 2023 Queen's Club Championships (also known as the Cinch Championships for sponsorship reasons) was a men's professional tennis tournament played on outdoor grass courts at the Queen's Club in London, United Kingdom from 19 to 25 June 2023. Grass Court
A grass court is one of the four different types of tennis court on which the sport of tennis, originally known as "lawn tennis", is played. Grass courts are made of grasses in different compositions depending on the tournament. Although grass courts are more traditional than other types of tennis courts, maintenance costs of grass courts are higher than those of hard courts and clay courts. Grass courts (in the absence of suitable covers) must be left for the day if rain appears, as the grass becomes very slippery when wet and will not dry for many hours. This is a disadvantage on outdoor courts compared to using hard and clay surfaces, where play can resume in 30 to 120 minutes after the end of rain. Cameron Norrie
Cameron Norrie (; born 23 August 1995) is a South African-born British professional tennis player, having previously represented New Zealand. He has reached career-high rankings of world No. 8 in singles (on 12 September 2022) and No. 117 in doubles (on 13 June 2022). Alexei Popyrin (born 5 August 1999) is an Australian professional tennis player. Popyrin has a career-high ATP singles ranking of No. 59 achieved on 8 November 2021. Thomas John "Tommy" Paul (born May 17, 1997) is an American professional tennis player. Michael Mackenzie Lowe "Mackie" McDonald (born April 16, 1995) is an American professional tennis player. He reached a career-high singles ranking of world No. 48 on 1 August 2022, and No. 90 in doubles on 17 October 2022. He won the 2016 NCAA Division I Tennis Championships in both singles and doubles. Ryan Peniston (born 10 November 1995) is a British tennis player from Essex. Liam Tarquin Broady (born 4 January 1994) is a tennis player and current British No. 6.
