2022–23 Serie A
The 2022–23 Serie A (known as the Serie A TIM for sponsorship reasons) is the 121st season of top-tier Italian football, the 91st in a round-robin tournament, and the 13th since its organization under an own league committee, the Lega Serie A. AC Milan are the defending champions. Summary Starting from the 2022–23 season, should the first and second, or 17th and 18th-placed teams at the end of the season be tied on points, a play-off tiebreaker match will be held at a neutral site to determine the title and final team relegated respectively. The tiebreaker will not have extra time, and will instead directly go to a penalty shoot-out should the two teams be tied after 90 minutes. This is the first time play-offs have been used since the 2004–05 campaign. Giovanni di Lorenzo (; born 9 March 1959) is an Italian-German journalist. Editor-in-chief (since 2004) of German nationwide weekly newspaper '' Die Zeit'' and former editor-in-chief of Berlin's liberal daily newspaper ''Der Tagesspiegel'' (1999–2004; has since retained the position of publisher). Giacomo Raspadori (born 18 February 2000) is an Italian professional footballer who plays as a forward for club Napoli and the Italy national team. Ernst-Happel-Stadion (), known as Praterstadion until 1992, sometimes also called Wiener-Stadion, is a football stadium in Leopoldstadt, the 2nd district of Austria's capital Vienna. David Olatukunbo Alaba (born 24 June 1992) is an Austrian professional footballer who plays as a centre-back or left-back for La Liga club Real Madrid and captains the Austria national team.
