The 2022-23 ISU Speed Skating World Cup was an international level speed skating tournament. The season consisted of 6 events, and began on 11 November 2022 in Stavanger, Norway and ended on 19 February 2023 in Tomaszów Mazowiecki, Poland. 2021–22 ISU Speed Skating World Cup
The 2021–22 ISU Speed Skating World Cup is a multi-race tournament over a season for speed skating. The season began on 12 November 2021 in Poland and ended on 13 March 2022 in Netherlands. The World Cup is organised by the ISU who also runs world cups and championships in short track speed skating and figure skating. The World Cup consisted of five competitions this year. The competitions (except the finals in Heerenveen) are qualifying event for the 2022 Olympic Winter Games in Beijing, China. Erin Jackson (born September 19, 1992) is an American speed skater, roller derby player, and Olympic gold medalist. Jackson is the first Black woman to win a Winter Olympic gold medal in an individual sport. She qualified for The World Games 2017 in Wroclaw, Poland, where she competed in inline speed skating in various distances on road and track. She also qualified to compete in the 500 meters long track speed skating event at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang. Jordan Stolz (born May 21, 2004) is an American speed skater. At the 2023 World Speed Skating Championships, Stolz became the youngest single distance world champion in history. He also became the first male skater to win three individual gold medals at a single World Speed Skating Championship. Ice Arena Tomaszów Mazowiecki is Poland's first year-round Speed skating rink, ice skating rink that serves for speed skating, figure skating, ice hockey, Short track speed skating, short track and roller skating. It is located near Pilica River in Tomaszów Mazowiecki, 10 kilometers away from the Olympic Sports Centre in Spała, Poland. It was built between 2016 and 2017.
