2022–23 FIS Alpine Ski World Cup
The International Ski Federation (FIS) Alpine Ski World Cup is the premier circuit for alpine skiing competition. The inaugural season launched in January 1967, and the season marks the 57th consecutive year for the FIS World Cup. This season started in October 2022 in Sölden, Austria, and is intended to conclude in mid-March 2023 at the finals in Soldeu, Andorra. Marco Odermatt and Mikaela Shiffrin are the defending overall champions from the 2021–22 season. Shiffrin is attempting to break Lindsey Vonn's record for the most wins in the Women's World Cup (82 wins), as well as break the record in the entire history of the World Cup held by Ingemar Stenmark (86 wins). Marco Odermatt
Marco Odermatt (born 8 October 1997) is a Swiss World Cup alpine ski racer who races in giant slalom and the speed disciplines. Odermatt competed for Switzerland at two Junior World Championships and three World Championships. Career At the 2016 Junior World Championships in Sochi, Odermatt won the bronze medal in super-G and the gold medal in giant slalom, which allowed him to make his World Cup debut in March 2016 in the giant slalom at the season finals in St. Moritz. At the 2018 Junior World Championships in Davos, Odermatt won an unprecedented five gold medals (combined, downhill, super-G, giant slalom, and team event). He gained his first World Cup podium at Kranjska Gora in and his first win in December 2019 in a super-G at Beaver Creek. Ingemar Stenmark
Jan Ingemar Stenmark (; born 18 March 1956) is a Swedish former World Cup alpine ski racer. He is regarded as one of the most prominent Swedish athletes ever, and as the greatest slalom and giant slalom specialist of all time. He competed for Tärna IK Fjällvinden. Biography Born in Joesjö, Storuman Municipality, Lapland, Stenmark's family moved to Tärnaby near Norway when he was four years old. He became a childhood neighbour of Stig Strand (also born 1956), who tied Stenmark for the World Cup slalom title in 1983. Rettenbach (ski Slope)
Rettenbach is a World Cup giant slalom ski course in Austria on Rettenbach glacier above Sölden, Tyrol. Located on Wildspitze mountain in the Ötztal Alps, the race course debuted in 1993. This course hosted total of 21 World Cup events for men ( 19th of all-time) and total 24 World Cup events for women ( 19th of all-time). ''Izgled'' was a pop-culture magazine published in Belgrade, Serbia during the early 1980s. Only five issues were published. History The magazine was published by Belgrade's SKC (student cultural centre). In addition to editor-in-chief Vlaja Jovanović, the inaugural issue was prepared by Nebojša Pajkić and Slavica Vukadinović. Palisades Tahoe
Palisades Tahoe is a ski resort in the western United States, located in Olympic Valley, California, northwest of Tahoe City in the Sierra Nevada range. From its founding in 1949, the resort was known as Squaw Valley, but it changed its name in 2021 due to the derogatory connotations of the word "squaw".
