2022 CAF Women's Champions League
The 2022 CAF Women's Champions League was the 2nd edition of the annual African women's association football club tournament organized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) held in Morocco from 30 October to 13 November 2022. Mamelodi Sundowns were the defending champions after claiming the inaugural edition title, but was dethroned after losing 0–4 to AS FAR in the final. With the first title, AS FAR automatically qualified for the group stage of the 2023 edition. Qualified teams Qualification was made up of 6 sub-confederation qualifying tournaments which ran from 7 August to 16 September 2022 with each confederation having a representative. As defending champions, Mamelodi Sundowns qualified automatically for the group stage of this edition of the tournament, despite losing on penalty kicks in the final of their qualification tournament. 2022 CAF Women's Champions League Qualification
Qualification for the 2022 CAF Women's Champions League began on 7 August and concluded on 15 September 2022. Qualification began COSAFA for Southern Africa and the CECAFA for mostly East Africa and a bit of Central Africa on 7 August 2022 and concluded on 16 September 2022. After qualification, the participating teams reduced to the final 8 which were made up of one winning team each from the 6 CAF sub-confederations ( WAFU is split into two zones), the tournament's defending champions and the host nation's league-winning team. These 8 teams would proceed to the main tournament phase which took place in Morocco. The 2022 CAF Women's Champions League UNIFFAC Qualifiers is the 2nd edition of CAF Women's Champions League UNIFFAC Qualifiers tournament organised by the UNIFFAC for the women's clubs of association nations. This edition was originally to be held from 20 August to 4 September 2022 in the Cameroonian capital Yaoundé. However on 11 August the competition was postponed indefinitely following the lack of guarantee from the government of the Republic of Cameroon, the new dates and hosts will be fixed by UNIFFAC. On 24 August 2022 it was announced that Equatorial Guinea will host the tournament starting from 10 september. 2022 CAF Women's Champions League WAFU Zone B Qualifiers
Qualification for the 2022 CAF Women's Champions League for West African Football Union (WAFU) Zone B took place in Yamoussoukro, Ivory Coast between 20 August and 2 September 2022 to qualify its representative at the group stage in Morocco. Originally scheduled to be held in Abidjan, this edition was moved due to then-ongoing renovations at the stadiums situated there.
