2020–21 Mid-American Conference Men's Basketball Season
The 2020–21 Mid-American Conference men's basketball season began with practices in October 2020, followed by the start of the 2020–21 NCAA Division I men's basketball season in November. Conference play began in January 2021 and concluded in March 2021. In a season limited due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Toledo won the regular season title with a conference record of 15-4. Ohio won the MAC tournament and represented the MAC in the NCAA tournament where they defeated No. 4-seeded Virginia in the first round before falling to No. 5-seeded Creighton in the second round. Toledo went to the NIT where they lost to Richmond in the first round. Preseason awards The preseason coaches' poll and league awards were announced by the league office on November 19, 2020. 2021 National Invitation Tournament
The 2021 National Invitation Tournament was a single-elimination tournament of 16 NCAA Division I men's college basketball teams that had not been selected to participate in the 2021 NCAA tournament. The Tournament began on March 17 and ended on March 28. All rounds were played at the Comerica Center in Frisco, Texas or the UNT Coliseum in Denton, Texas. First-round games began on Wednesday, March 17, and was played through Saturday, March 20. Quarterfinals also took place Thursday, March 25. The semifinals and championship took place Saturday and Sunday, March 27 and 28. The 2021 tournament also featured a third-place game Sunday, March 28, which hadn’t been played at the NIT since 2003. Jayvon Graves
Jayvon Donnell Graves (born December 29, 1998) is an American professional basketball player who last played for MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg of the Basketball Bundesliga. He played college basketball for the Buffalo Bulls. High school career Graves was born in Canton, Ohio but grew up in Malvern, Ohio. Justin Rafael Turner (born March 12, 1998), nicknamed "Juice" or "JT", is an American professional basketball player for Río Ourense Termal of the LEB Oro. Loren Cristian Jackson (born December 15, 1996) is an American professional basketball player who plays for SC Derby of the ABA League. Early life and high school career Jackson is the son of Loren Brian Jackson, the founder and basketball coach at Victory Rock Prep in Bradenton, Florida. Jackson played at Victory Rock Prep. As a senior, Jackson averaged 22.2 points and 7.3 assists per game. College career Jackson began his college career at Long Beach State.
