2020–21 America East Conference Men's Basketball Season
The 2020–21 America East Conference men's basketball season began with practices in October 2020, followed by the start of the 2020–21 NCAA Division I men's basketball season in November 2020. Conference play began in December and concluded with the 2021 America East men's basketball tournament. The America East expanded from 9 teams to 10 with the arrival of NJIT on July 1, 2020. 2021–22 America East Conference Men's Basketball Season
The 2021–22 America East Conference men's basketball season started non-conference play on November 9, 2021, and began conference play on January 2, 2022. The regular season ended on March 1, 2022, followed by the 2022 America East men's basketball tournament held March 6–12, 2022. Obadiah Noel (born June 28, 1999) is an American professional basketball player for the Westchester Knicks of the NBA G League. He played college basketball for the UMass Lowell River Hawks. Early life and high school career Noel began his high school career at Saint John's Catholic Prep. For his senior season, Noel transferred to Tuscarora High School, playing under coach Darryl Whiten. Zach Cooks
Zachery Cooks (born March 4, 1999) is an American professional basketball player for UBSC Graz of the Austrian Basketball Superliga. He previously played collegiately for the Hofstra Pride of the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA), and the NJIT Highlanders in college. High school career Cooks began his high school career at Norcross High School. For his junior season, he transferred to Berkmar High School and led the team to the Georgia Sweet 16. The America East Conference is a collegiate athletic conference affiliated with NCAA Division I founded in 1979, whose members are located in the Northeastern United States. The conference has nine core members including eight public research universities, three of which, the University of Maine, the University of New Hampshire, and the University of Vermont, are the flagship universities of their states. The two non-flagship university centers of the State University of New York are in the conference: the University at Albany and Binghamton University. 2021 America East Men's Basketball Tournament
The 2021 America East Men's Basketball Conference tournament was the postseason men's basketball tournament for the America East Conference that began February 27, 2021 and ended March 13, 2021. Starting in the semifinals, all tournament games were played on the home arenas of the higher-seeded school. In Pod Play and the Quarterfinals, games were played at either New Hampshire or Hartford. The winner received the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. Seeds All of the teams, except for Maine, in the conference standings qualified for the tournament.
