Linda Cimino
Linda Cimino is an American basketball coach and former player. She was the final women's basketball head coach at St. Francis College from 2018–23. Cimino was born in Lincoln, Rhode Island and is an alumnus of North Smithfield High School and Adelphi University. Cimino began her head coaching career at Queensborough Community College in 2001 and was the 13th and last head coach of the St. Francis Brooklyn Terriers women's basketball, St. Francis Brooklyn Terriers women's program. Northeast Conference Women's Basketball Coach Of The Year
The Northeast Conference Women's Basketball Coach of the Year is a basketball award given to head coaches in the Northeast Conference (NEC). The award is granted to the head coach voted to be the most successful that season by the league's coaches. The award is named in honor of Brenda Reilly, a teacher, sports administrator and three-sport coach in a career of almost three decades at Central Connecticut State University. The award was first given following the 1986–87 season, the first in which the NEC sponsored women's basketball. Kevin Jones of St. Francis Brooklyn was the inaugural recipient. The program with the most awards is Robert Morris, whose father-son duo of Sal and Charlie Buscaglia have garnered all of the Colonials' seven awards, but Robert Morris left the NEC for the Horizon League after the 2019–20 season. The Adelphi Panthers are the athletic teams that represent Adelphi University, located in Garden City, Long Island, New York, in NCAA Division II intercollegiate sports. Susan Robinson Fruchtl is the former athletic director at Saint Francis University. College Susan Robinson graduated in 1992 from Penn State University with a B.S. in exercise and sports science. In 1992, she was named a consensus All-American and won the Wade Trophy as the best women's college basketball player in NCAA Division I, after previously winning Atlantic 10 Freshman-of-the-Year honors, twice being named to the All-Atlantic 10 Conference team, and chosen as the conference Player of the Year in 1991.
