Professional Wrestling
Professional wrestling is a form of theater that revolves around staged wrestling matches. The mock combat is performed in a ring similar to the kind used in boxing, and the dramatic aspects of pro wrestling may be performed both in the ring or—as in televised wrestling shows—in backstage areas of the venue, in similar form to reality television. Professional wrestling as a form of theater evolved out of the widespread practice of match fixing among wrestlers in the early 20th century. Rather than sanction the wrestlers for their deceit as was done with boxers, the public instead came to see professional wrestling as a performance art rather than a sport. Raw (WWE Brand)
Raw is a brand of the American professional wrestling promotion WWE that was established on March 25, 2002. Brands are divisions of WWE's roster where wrestlers are assigned to perform on a weekly basis when a brand extension is in effect. Wrestlers assigned to Raw primarily appear on the brand's weekly television program, ''Monday Night Raw'', also referred to simply as ''Raw''. It is one of WWE's two main brands, along with SmackDown, collectively referred to as WWE's main roster. The brand was discontinued for a period between August 2011 and July 2016. Fuerza Guerrera Nueva Generación (sometimes "Fuerza Guerrera NG") is a Mexican ''luchador enmascarado'', or masked professional wrestler currently working for the Mexican professional wrestling promotion International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG). He worked under the ring name Imposible from his debut in 2008 until late in 2019 when he took the name "Fuerza Guerra Nueva Generación". He is not related to Fuerza Guerrera, but is officially allowed to use the name by his trainer. His real name is not a matter of public record, as is often the case with masked wrestlers in Mexico where their private lives are kept a secret from the wrestling fans. Imposible was trained for his professional wrestling career by Negro Navarro. Naucalpan
Naucalpan, officially Naucalpan de Juárez, is one of 125 municipalities located just northwest of Mexico City in the adjoining State of Mexico. The municipal seat is the city of Naucalpan de Juárez, which extends into the neighboring municipality of Huixquilucan. The name Naucalpan comes from Nahuatl and means "place of the four neighborhoods" or "four houses." Juárez was added to the official name in 1874 in honor of Benito Juárez. The history of the area begins with the Tlatilica who settled on the edges of the Hondo River between 1700 and 600 B.C.E., but it was the Mexica who gave it its current name when they dominated it from the 15th century until the Spanish conquest of the Mexica Empire. IWRG 22nd Anniversary Show
The IWRG 22nd Anniversary Show was a major annual ''lucha libre'' event produced and scripted by the Mexican International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG) professional wrestling promotion on January 1, 2018. The show was held in Arena Naucalpan, Naucalpan, State of Mexico, which is IWRG's primary venue. As the name indicates the event commemorates the anniversary of IWRG, which was founded on January 1, 1996. All matches on the show were held inside a steel cage match, combining that stipulation with a second stipulation as well. The main event saw Imposible defend the IWRG Rey del Ring Championship against Dr. Cerebro where the steel cage stipulation was combined with a ladder match. The show also featured two ''Luchas de Apuestas'', or "bet matches" where X-Corp and Obett both had their hair shaved off as a result of their losses. Lucha De Apuestas
Lucha libre (, meaning "freestyle wrestling" or literally translated as "free fight") is the term used in Latin America for professional wrestling. Since its introduction to Mexico in the early 20th century, it has developed into a unique form of the genre, characterized by colorful masks, rapid sequences of holds and maneuvers, and "high-flying" maneuvers, some of which have been adopted in the United States, Japan, and elsewhere. The wearing of masks has developed special significance, and matches are sometimes contested in which the loser must permanently remove his mask, which is a wager with a high degree of weight attached. Tag team wrestling is especially prevalent in lucha libre, particularly matches with three-member teams, called ''trios''. Samuel Elias Polinsky (born August 9, 1989) is an American professional wrestler and promoter, best known under the ring name Sam Adonis and Sam Elias. Polinsky formerly worked in Mexico's ''Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre'' (CMLL) as a heel pro-Trump character and currently works for DTU, IWRG, Toryumon Mexico and the Mexican Independent circuit. José Casas Ruiz (born January 10, 1960) is a Mexican professional wrestler (called a ''Luchador'' in Spanish) and trainer working for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) under the ring name Negro Casas. The Sin Piedad show took place on January 1, 2018 in Arena México, Mexico City, Mexico. The 2018 Sin Piedad was the 14th event under the Sin Piedad name and the third year in a row CMLL has held the show on New Year's Day.
