Geraint Howell Thomas, (; born 25 May 1986) is a Welsh professional racing cyclist who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam , Wales and Great Britain. He is one of the few riders in the modern era to achieve significant elite success as both a track and road rider, with notable victories in the velodrome, in one-day racing and in stage racing. On the track, he has won three World Championships ( 2007, 2008, and 2012), and two Olympic gold medals ( 2008 and 2012), while on the road he won the 2018 Tour de France becoming the first Welshman and British-born rider to win it. The 2018 Omloop Het Nieuwsblad was a road cycling one-day race that took place on 24 February 2018 in Belgium. It was the 73rd edition of the Omloop Het Nieuwsblad and the fourth event of the 2018 UCI World Tour. It was won by Danish rider Michael Valgren for the team, soloing to victory by 12 seconds ahead of 's Łukasz Wiśniowski of Poland, with the podium completed by the highest-placed home rider Sep Vanmarcke (). Teams As the race was only added to the UCI World Tour calendar in 2017, all UCI WorldTeams were invited to the race, but not obligated to compete in the race. Wilco Kelderman
Wilco Kelderman (born 25 March 1991) is a Dutch professional road bicycle racer who rides for UCI WorldTeam . Professional career Born in Amersfoort, Kelderman finished in seventh position in the general classification of the 2014 Giro d'Italia. He broke his collarbone in the ensuing off-season while training. He was named in the start list for the 2015 Tour de France and finished in ninth place in the opening individual time trial. The following year he rode the Tour de France and placed 32nd overall. Kelderman moved to for the 2017 season. He finished in the top ten of the Vuelta a España in three successive editions, between 2017 and 2019. At the 2020 Giro d'Italia, held in October due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Italy, he held the overall lead after stages 18 and 19, but lost time to Tao Geoghegan Hart and Jai Hindley; as a result, he finished in third overall. 2018 Abu Dhabi Tour
The 2018 Abu Dhabi Tour was a road cycling stage race that took place between 21 and 25 February 2018 in Abu Dhabi. It was the fourth edition of the Abu Dhabi Tour and the third event of the 2018 UCI World Tour. The race was won on the final day by the 's Alejandro Valverde, from Spain, winning the stage finish up to Jebel Hafeet. Valverde finished 17 seconds clear of Dutch rider Wilco Kelderman from , while the podium was completed by Colombia's Miguel Ángel López (), a further 12 seconds in arrears. The performance by López was also enough for him to win the young rider classification. Elia Viviani (born 7 February 1989) is an Italian professional Cycle sport, cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . On 10 May 2015, Viviani won his first Grand Tour stage victory at the 2015 Giro d'Italia, Giro d'Italia, winning stage 2 in a bunch sprint before Moreno Hofland and André Greipel. Impey is an all-rounder; he generally comes to the fore on tough uphill sprints. The 2018 Tour Down Under was a road cycling stage race, that took place between 16 and 21 January 2018 in and around Adelaide, South Australia. It was the 20th edition of the Tour Down Under and the first race of the 2018 UCI World Tour. Daryl Impey () became the first South African rider to win the race overall, after edging out 's Richie Porte on countback after both riders completed the course in the same time. Porte won on Willunga Hill for the fifth year in succession, but Impey finished eight seconds in arrears in second position, which was enough to take the ochre jersey. The podium placings were completed by another former winner, Tom-Jelte Slagter of , who finished third on Willunga Hill, taking four bonus seconds that put him ahead of the four other competitors that he had finished with; Slagter finished 16 seconds down on Impey overall.
