Xavier Bettel
Xavier Bettel (; born 3 March 1973) is a Luxembourger lawyer and politician serving as Prime Minister of Luxembourg since 2013. He was previously a member of the Chamber of Deputies (1999–2013) and Mayor of Luxembourg City (2011–2013). Bettel is a member of the Democratic Party (DP). Following the 2013 general election, he took office as Prime Minister and succeeded Jean-Claude Juncker of the Christian Social People's Party (CSV). Cyclone Egon
Cyclone Egon was a European windstorm that affected the north of France, Belgium and Germany during the night of Thursday 12 to Friday 13 January 2017. It caused three deaths, widespread power outages, and wind damage and significant snowfall, primarily France and Germany, but also in the Benelux states, Austria and Switzerland. The storm was the first to exceed the reporting threshold of €200 million with Perils.org since Cyclone Niklas in March 2015. The total insured damages were estimated at €275m (final loss report). ''Luxemburger Wort'' is a German-language Luxembourgish daily newspaper. There is an English edition named the ''Luxembourg Times''. History and profile ''Luxemburger Wort'' has been published since 1848. The paper was founded just three days after press censorship was abolished. The newspaper is mainly written in German, but includes small sections in both Luxembourgish and French. The paper is part of the Saint-Paul Luxembourg S.A. Jean-Fernand Leischen (21 August 1919 – 20 April 2017) was a Luxembourgian fencer who competed in three Summer Olympic Games, competing in the men's individual and team épée events at each one. His best was result was fourth at the team épée event at the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki, Finland. In 2008 he was promoted to the rank of Chevalier in the Order of Merit of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
