The president of Greece, officially the President of the Hellenic Republic ( el, Πρόεδρος της Ελληνικής Δημοκρατίας, Próedros tis Ellinikís Dimokratías), commonly referred to in Greek as the President of the Republic ( el, Πρόεδρος της Δημοκρατίας, Próedros tis Dimokratías), is the head of state of Greece. The president is elected by the Hellenic Parliament; the role has been mainly ceremonial since the 1986 constitutional reform. Magic Alex
Yannis (later John) Alexis Mardas ( el, Αλέξης Μάρδας; 2 May 1942 – 13 January 2017), also known as Magic Alex, was a Greek electronics engineer who was closely associated with the Beatles. His nickname was given to him by John Lennon when he was involved with the group between 1965 and 1969, during which time he became head of Apple Electronics. Mardas arrived in England in 1965, exhibiting his ''Kinetic Light Sculptures'' at the Indica Gallery. He impressed John Lennon with the ''Nothing Box'': a small plastic box with randomly blinking lights, and allegedly claimed that he could build a 72-track tape machine. Mardas was in India with the Beatles at the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's ashram in India and was then given the job of designing the new Apple Studio in Savile Row. Giorgos Masadis
Georgios Masadis ( gr, Γεώργιος Μασάδης; 1944 – 5 June 2017) was a Greek former professional football (soccer) player who played for the Superleague club Veria his entire career from 1966 to 1981 and played in both Alpha Ethniki and Beta Ethniki championships. He was born in Kastoria. Career Masadis joined Veria in 1966. Although, he had several offers to join Olympiacos, Panathinaikos, AEK and PAOK, he never left Veria. He is considered as a club legend and he belongs to the long list of one-club men as he played in Veria for fifteen years. He made 368 appearances in both professional league levels of Alpha Ethniki (currently Superleague) and Beta Ethniki (currently Football League). He was also manager of Veria during 1984–85 season. Personal life After retiring from football in 1981, Masadis moved to Veria permanently. He was also married. He died in June 2017, aged 72.

Konstantinos Mitsotakis ( el, Κωνσταντίνος Μητσοτάκης, ; – 29 May 2017) was a Greek politician who was 7th Prime Minister of Greece from 1990 to 1993. He graduated in law and economics from the University of Athens. His son, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, was elected as the Prime Minister of Greece following the 2019 Greek legislative election. Family and personal life Mitsotakis was born on 31 October 1918 in Halepa suburb, Chania, Crete, into an already powerful political family, linked to the distinguished statesman Eleftherios Venizelos on both sides. Konstantinos Despotopoulos ( el, Κωνσταντίνος Δεσποτόπουλος; 8 February 1913 – 7 February 2016) was a Greek philosopher and intellectual who became a university professor and the Minister of National Education and Religious Affairs of Greece.
