The country's top domestic league is organised into two national divisions, the Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 1 and the Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 2, overseen by the Algerian Football Federation. Union Sportive Madinat Blida ( ar, الإتحاد الرياضي لمدينة البليدة), known as USM Blida or simply USMB, is a football club based in Blida, Algeria. Olympique de Médéa ( ar, أولمبي المدية), also known as 'O Médéa or simply OM for short, is an Algerian football club based in Médéa. The club was founded in 1945 and its colours are orange and blue. Their home stadium, Stade Imam Lyes de Médéa, has a capacity of 12,000 spectators. The club is currently playing in the Algerian Ligue 2. History In 1995, the club reached the final of the Algerian Cup for the first time in their history. They opened the scoring in the 45th minute through Kamel Djahmoune but went on to lose the game 2–1. In 1996, the team had participated in the seventh Arab Cup Winners' Cup in Amman, Jordan. The 2015–16 Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 1 was the 54th season of the Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 1 since its establishment in 1962. A total of 16 teams contested the league. ES Sétif came into the season as defending champions of the 2014–15 season. USM Blida, DRB Tadjenanet, and RC Relizane entered as the three promoted teams from the 2014–15 Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 2. On 30 April 2016, USM Alger officially won the title for professional league. This was the football club's 7th title. Algerian Super Cup
The Algerian Super Cup ( ar, كأس الجزائر الممتازة), is an Algerian football competition, held as a game between the reigning champions of the Algerian League and the Algerian Cup. The first edition was held in 1973 and then again in 1981, 1992 and 1995 before being scrapped. The game returned in 2006 but would be scrapped again after the 2007 edition, returning once again in 2013. The current holders are CR Belouizdad, who beat USM Alger in the 2019 final, played in November 2020. MC Alger is the most successful club in the competition, having won the trophy three times. The Algerian Cup ( ar, كأس الجزائر) also known the Republic Cup ( ar, كأس الجمهورية), is a football competition in Algeria, pitting regional teams against each other. It was established in October 1962, three months after independence, and has been played yearly since then apart from 1990 and 1993. The most successful clubs in this competition are USM Alger, CR Belouizdad, ES Setif and MC Alger with eight trophies for each. The record for consecutive wins in the competition is only two, several teams have achieved such USM Alger, CR Belouizdad, MC Oran, JS Kabylie and MC Algiers. Inter-Régions Division (also known as ''Ligue Inter-Régions de football'') is the third-highest division overall in the Algerian football league system. The division has six groups based on the region of the country, which are East, West and Centre-East, Centre-West, South-east and South-west each containing 16 teams from their respective regions.
