2013–14 IRB Women's Sevens World Series
The 2013–14 IRB Women's Sevens World Series was the second edition of the IRB Women's Sevens World Series, organized by the IRB annual series of tournaments for women's national teams in rugby sevens. In August 2013, the IRB announced that the season would consist of six tournaments - in Dubai, the Atlanta suburb of Kennesaw, Georgia, São Paulo, Guangzhou and Amsterdam - played from November 2013 to May 2014, with a sixth tournament to be announced later. However, the sixth tournament never took place, and official literature referred to São Paulo as stop two of five. The number of teams in each of the events set at twelve, nine of which participated in all competitions of the season, while others might be identified by elimination or rankings of the six regions reporting to the IRB . Emilee Cherry
Emilee Jane Cherry (born 2 November 1992) is a former Australian Rugby Union player. She represented Australia in Sevens Rugby and won a gold medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio. Born in Roma, Queensland and playing for Toowoomba Bears at a club level, Cherry debuted for Australia in November 2012. As of December 2015, she had 14 caps. Cherry is a dual international, having represented Australia in Touch football (rugby league). Cherry was the 2013/14 Women’s Sevens World Player of the Year, her game lifting after Tim Walsh took over as Head Coach in September 2013. She scored the most tries in the series (33), scored the most points (195) and was the stand-out player during the 2013–14 IRB World Series season as she was named the 2014 World Sevens Player of the Year. World Rugby Women's Sevens Series
The World Rugby Women's Sevens Series, is a series of international rugby sevens tournaments for women's national teams run by World Rugby. The inaugural series was held in 2012–13 as the successor to the IRB Women's Sevens Challenge Cup held the previous season. The competition has been sponsored by banking group HSBC since 2015. The series, the women's counterpart to the World Rugby Sevens Series, provides elite-level women's competition between rugby nations. NRCA Stadium
The National Rugby Centre Amsterdam, also known as NRCA Stadium, is a rugby stadium in Amsterdam. The complex is situated within the Sportpark de Eendracht in the district of Geuzenveld-Slotermeer. All international matches of the Netherlands national team are played at the NCRA, and the offices of the Netherlands Rugby Board (NRB) are at the complex. Plans for the National Rugby Centre Amsterdam (NRCA) were formed by the NRB in the eighties and nineties as the increasing interest in rugby grew so strong that the old offices in Bussum became impracticable. Candidates for a new national rugby center had included The Hague, Amersfoort and Amsterdam. After much deliberation and some lobbying, the location at Sportpark De Eendracht was finally selected. The Guangzhou Higher Education Mega Center Central Stadium () is a stadium situated in the Guangzhou Higher Education Mega Center, Guangzhou, Guangdong province, China. Arena Barueri is a multi-use stadium located in Barueri, São Paulo state, Brazil. It is used mostly for football matches and hosts the home matches of Oeste, and hosted the matches of Grêmio Recreativo Barueri until the 2010 season.
