Thailand competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, from 27 July to 12 August 2012. This was the nation's fifteenth appearance at the Olympics, except the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow because of its partial support to the United States boycott. The National Olympic Committee of Thailand sent the nation's smallest delegation to the Games since 1996. A total of 37 athletes, 19 men and 18 women, competed in 15 sports. Among the sports played by the athletes, Thailand marked its Olympic debut in slalom canoeing, and also, its Olympic return in archery and rowing after an eight-year absence. 2012 Thai Premier League (known as Sponsor Thai Premier League for sponsorship reasons) is the 16th season of the Thai Premier League since its establishment in 1996. A total of 18 teams are competing in the league. Teams Khonkaen, Siam Navy and Sriracha were relegated to the 2012 Thai Division 1 League after finishing the 2011 season in the bottom three places. 2011 Thai Division 1 League champions Buriram, runners-up Chainat and third place BBCU were promoted to the Thai Premier League. The Thailand national football team ( th, ฟุตบอลทีมชาติไทย, , ) represents Thailand in senior international football and is controlled by the Football Association of Thailand. In the regional competition, Thailand is the most successful football team in Southeast Asia with six AFF Championship trophies and nine senior-level gold medals from the Southeast Asian Games, the most of any Southeast Asian country. In higher levels, Thailand achieved the third place in the 1972 AFC Asian Cup where it was the host, and has totally seven appearances in the AFC Asian Cup so far. Danai Udomchoke ( th, ดนัย อุดมโชค, born 11 August 1981) is a former professional tennis player from Thailand. He was born in Bangkok, where he still resides. Udomchoke turned professional in 1997, and was coached by Jan Stoce. He is sponsored by Dunlop Sport for his racquets and apparel. His career-best ranking was World No. 77 on 29 January 2007.
