Television in Pakistan started in 1964 and the first live transmission of Pakistan Television began on 26 November 1964, in Lahore.PTV's Official Corporate Website History In Pakistan Television was first introduced in an exhibition near Mazar-e-Quaid on 16 September 1955. Sitamgar (TV Series)
Sitamgar ( ur, ستمگر) is a Pakistani romantic drama serial directed by ''Fahim Burney'', broadcasting on Hum TV every Thursday between October 2012 to March 2013. The serial is written by ''Sarwat Nazeer'', stars Angeline Malik, Nadia Hussain, Sajal Aly, Azfar Rehman and Ali Afzal. The serial was first aired on 18 October 2012 and last aired on 7 March 2013. This show was broadcast on Indian Channel Zindagi from 28 November 2015. Plot The story starts with Zoya (Sajal Aly) who is wandering around a mall in Dubai where she finds a cute doll that she wants to buy. At the same time, Zohaib (Faisal Rehman) sees the same doll and pleads Zoya to give it to him. Zoya disagrees, saying she found it first and leaves with it. Hum TV
Hum TV is a 24-hour Urdu General Entertainment TV channel based in Karachi, Pakistan. It was founded by Sultana Siddiqui and Duraid Qureshi. It is owned by Hum Network Limited and traded on Pakistan Stock Exchange as (HUMNL). Hum Network Limited was known as ''Eye Television Network Limited'' prior to 21 January 2011. Hum TV began its transmission on 17 January 2005. In March 2013, Hum Network held its first Hum Awards ceremony. As of 1 May 2018, Hum TV shut down its SD feed and is only available in HD in Pakistan. Hum TV is one of Pakistan's biggest entertainment networks and regularly is in top ranks and maintains a loyal fanbase on social media, streaming platforms, as well as on television. ''Zindagi Gulzar Hai'' is a Pakistani television series directed by Sultana Siddiqui, produced by Momina Duraid under banner Moomal Productions, which was first broadcast on Hum TV. Based on the novel of the same name by Umera Ahmad who also wrote the screenplay, it first telecast from 30 November 2012 to 24 May 2013 in Pakistan. The story revolves around two people, opposite in thoughts and financial status, and has a strong female protagonist, contributing to its popularity amongst women. The virtuous story and unique creative concept of the show was initially loved by the audiences. It was viewed widely across the Indian subcontinent and majorly in Pakistan, India and Bangladesh.
