The Smashing Pumpkins
The Smashing Pumpkins (also referred to as simply Smashing Pumpkins) are an American alternative rock band from Chicago. Formed in 1988 by frontman and guitarist Billy Corgan, bassist D'arcy Wretzky, guitarist James Iha and drummer Jimmy Chamberlin, the band has undergone several line-up changes since their reunion in 2006, with Corgan being the sole constant member since its inception. The current lineup features Corgan, Chamberlin, Iha and guitarist Jeff Schroeder. Jodie-Anne White-Bivona (13 May 1967 – 21 January 2012) was an Australian dancer, choreographer and artistic director of the Ballet Theatre of Queensland. Training White was born in Dandenong, Victoria and was raised in Melbourne, where she studied classical and contemporary dance, as well as acting and mime, at the Kathleen Gorham National Theatre, the Victorian College of the Arts and the Australian Ballet School. Dancing career White danced with the Australian Ballet under the artistic direction of Maina Gielgud AO. White toured with the company to Asia, Russia, Greece, England and America. Her repertoire included the major classics as well as works from such choreographers as Jiri Kylian, Maurice Béjart and Sir Kenneth MacMillan. The Presets
The Presets are an Australian electronic music duo of Julian Hamilton (vocals, keyboards) and Kim Moyes (drums, keyboards). Formed in 2003 and signed to Modular Recordings, Modular Records, The Presets released two EPs (''Blow Up (EP), Blow Up'', ''Girl and the Sea'') in advance of their debut album, ''Beams (The Presets album), Beams'', released in 2005 to positive critical response. After two years of touring, including as the Australian support for Daft Punk, the band's 2008 release, ''Apocalypso (The Presets album), Apocalypso'', debuted at number one on the ARIA Charts, ARIA Albums Chart, and went on to win six awards at ARIA Music Awards of 2008, ARIA Awards 2008, including Album of the Year. Stereosonic was an annual electronic dance music festival held in Australia in November and early December. Stereosonic was held in Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Sydney, and Melbourne, attracting attendances of up to 200,000 patrons nationally featuring the biggest electronic artists in the world. Stereosonic was a collaboration of two major Australia promoters Totem Industries and Onelove Music Group. In 2010 Totem Industries and Onelove Music Group created Totem Onelove Group, Australia's leading electronic music companies.
