Miss Asia Pageant
ATV Miss Asia Pageant () is an annual Hong Kong-based beauty pageant organized and broadcast by Asia Television (ATV). Originating in 1985 as a local Hong Kong pageant, the contest went on hiatus from the 2000 through 2003, and was re-branded as an Asian pageant in 2004, with contestants spanning the continent of Asia. The pageant was ceased to exist in 2015 with the shutdown of its organizer, ATV. In 2018, ATV announced that they are rebooting the pageant, after their transition from a terrestrial broadcast operation to an online media company. ''Baak Maan Fu Yung'' (, Cantonese Yale: ''baak3 maan6 fu3 yung1'', Jyutping: ''baak3 maan6 fu3 jung1'', literally ''The Millionaire'', also had the English words of ''Who Wants to Be a Millionaire'' surrounding the Chinese title) is a Hong Kongese game show, based on the original British format of ''Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?''. RTHK TV 31
RTHK TV 31 (, formerly RTHK TV 31A for analogue TV) is a 24-hour Chinese-language free-to-air television channel in Hong Kong, owned by RTHK. It is one of RTHK's three channels alongside RTHK TV 32 and RTHK TV 33 on digital terrestrial television as part of the latter's expansion. All RTHK TV channels are funded by the administration every year. History Since 2 April 2016, TV 31 and TV 33 began simulcast on analogue channel frequencies previously owned by Asia Television (ATV) after ATV's licences were revoked by the government over financial losses and internal conflicts. HK Television Entertainment Company Limited (, or HKTVE) is a television service operator in Hong Kong operated by Hong Kong billionaire Richard Li's PCCW, through its subsidiary PCCW Media, which also owns an IPTV platform, Now TV and operating an OTT service, Viu. History The company was launched in January 2010, HKTVE has applied for an over-the-air license for PCCW Limited. HKTVE's license was formally approved by the Hong Kong government on the first day of April 2015, concurrent with the announcement that ATV's over-the-air license would be revoked on 31 March 2016.
