2008 ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament
The 2008 ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament was a men's tennis tournament played on indoor hard courts. It was the 36th edition of the event known that year as the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament, and was part of the ATP International Series Gold of the 2008 ATP Tour. It took place at the Rotterdam Ahoy indoor sporting arena in Rotterdam, Netherlands, from 18 February through 24 February 2008. Michaël Llodra won the singles title. The field featured ATP No. 2, reigning French Open champion and recent Australian Open semifinalist Rafael Nadal, Moscow winner Nikolay Davydenko, and Tennis Masters Cup runner-up and Australian Open quarterfinalist David Ferrer. ATP International Series Gold
International Series Gold (previously known as the Championship Series) was a series of professional tennis tournaments held internationally between 2000 and 2008 that were part of the Association of Tennis Professionals, ATP Tour. The tournaments were positioned below the ATP Masters Series, and above the ATP International Series in terms of prize money and ranking points available. International Series Gold tournaments offered players cash prizes (purses from $755,000 to $1,426,250 as of 2008) and the ability to earn ATP ranking points. Robin Söderling
Robin Bo Carl Söderling (; born 14 August 1984) is a Swedish former professional tennis player. He reached a career-high Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) world No. 4 singles ranking on 15 November 2010.
