The 2006–07 ACB season was the 24th season of the Liga ACB. The regular season began on Saturday, September 30, 2006, and ended on Sunday, May 13, 2007. The Asociación de Clubes Españoles de Baloncesto (Spanish Basketball Clubs Association), more commonly known as the Asociación de Clubs de Baloncesto (ACB), is a national sports association responsible for administering the main professional basketball league in Spain - the Liga Endesa. The organisation was founded in 1982. Competition The 18 member clubs of the ACB are grouped into the Liga Endesa. In any given season a club plays each of the others in the same division twice, once at their home stadium and once at that of their opponents. This makes for a total of 34 games played each season in Liga Endesa. Clubs gain one point for a win, no points for a defeat. If points are equal, the head-to-head records determine the winner. If still equal, the point difference and then points scored become the deciding factors. Club Basket Bilbao Berri S.A.D., commonly known as Bilbao Basket (), also known as Surne Bilbao Basket for sponsorship reasons, is a professional basketball club based in Bilbao, Spain. The team plays in the Liga ACB. Their home arena is the Bilbao Arena, Spain. History The club was founded in 2000 after replacing the former city clubs: Cajabilbao and SD Patronato. After four seasons between LEB and LEB 2, Bilbao promoted to Liga ACB in 2004 by winning by 3–1 to Baloncesto León in the LEB semifinals. Bilbao spent ten seasons in the top tier of the Spanish basketball becoming finalist of the league in the 2010–11 season, where it lost in the finals to FC Barcelona by 3–0. Michael Bradley (basketball)
Michael Thomas Bradley (born April 18, 1979) is an American former professional basketball player and businessman. He is a 6 ft 10 in (2.08 m), 235 lb (107 kg), power forward/center born in Worcester, Massachusetts. After attending Burncoat High School, he accepted a scholarship to play college basketball at the University of Kentucky. After his sophomore season at Kentucky, Bradley transferred to Villanova University where he started. That season he averaged 20.8 points per game and 9.8 rebounds per game. Even though he had one year of college eligibility remaining, Bradley left school to go to the NBA in 2001 and was selected as the 17th pick in the 1st round of the NBA Draft by the Toronto Raptors. Curtis Borchardt
Curtis Alan Borchardt (born September 13, 1980) is an American former professional basketball player. He is a 7 ft 0 in (2.13 m) tall center. Amateur career Borchardt played high school basketball in Sammamish, Washington (then Redmond), for Eastlake High School. He then attended Stanford University, where he was an honorable mention NCAA Men's Basketball All-Americans, All-American as a junior in 2002. Pro career Borchardt was selected 18th overall in the first round by the Orlando Magic in the 2002 NBA Draft but was traded to the Utah Jazz. Injury-prone in college, this continued as he sat out his rookie season. He made his Jazz debut in the 2003-04 NBA season, 2003–04 campaign. Igor Rakočević ( sr-cyrl, Игор Ракочевић; born 29 March 1978) is a Serbian professional basketball executive and former player. At a height of 1.94 m (6'4 ") tall, he played at both the point guard and shooting guard positions, but he spent the vast majority of his career playing as a shooting guard. During his playing career, Rakočević was a two-time All-EuroLeague Team member, and a three-time Alphonso Ford EuroLeague Top Scorer Trophy winner.
