2003 UNCAF Nations Cup
The 2003 UNCAF Nations Cup was an association football tournament. It was held in two venues in Panama in February 2003, and was played in a Round-robin tournament, round robin tournament, each of the 6 teams playing each other once. Costa Rica national football team, Costa Rica won their record fourth title, and along with the Guatemala, El Salvador, and Honduras, qualified to the 2003 CONCACAF Gold Cup. Freddy García (footballer)
Freddy Alexander García Carrera (born 12 January 1977) is a Guatemalan professional footballer currently playing for Heredia in the Guatemalan third division. He has played for several local clubs since 1997, and also in Major League Soccer for Columbus Crew, where he won the 2002 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. Also a member of the Guatemala national team, he has played in four World Cup qualifying campaigns, and is among Guatemala's all-time top scorers. Club career An attacking midfielder renowned for his accurate left foot, García was born in Puerto Barrios, and started his professional career with Universidad San Carlos (''USAC''). Erick Scott
Erick Arnoldo Scott Bernard (born 21 May 1981) is a Costa Rican professional footballer who currently plays for Limón. Club career Scott joined the Columbus Crew of Major League Soccer on loan in March 2004, after several exceptional years with Alajuelense, with whom he had played since May 2001. Scott scored 13 goals in the 2001-02 season, and another 20 in the 2002-03 season, propelling Alajuelense to two straight league titles. Scott also scored several goals against MLS and Mexican league teams in the CONCACAF Champions Cup, and was a key player during his first episode with Alajuelense. After joining the Crew, however, Scott saw minimal playing time, and did not return for the 2005 season. Steven Bryce Valerio (born August 16, 1977) is a Costa Rican former footballer. Bryce was well known throughout his career for his versatility, playing as an attacking midfielder, winger, striker or right back, as needed; and possessing good skills, pace, and strength. Diego Armando Mejía Pérez (born June 20, 1982 in San Salvador, El Salvador) is a retired Salvadoran footballer. Club career Mejía came through the Chelona youth academy and had a couple of seasons at Alianza before moving abroad to play for Honduran giants F.C. Motagua.
