Big Brother (Polish TV Series)
''Big Brother'' (Polish: ''Wielki Brat'') is a Polish version of the reality television franchise '' Big Brother'' produced by Endemol. The show aired from 2001 to 2002 on TVN and 2007 to 2008 on TV4. After 11 years break, the sixth season began on 17 March 2019 on TVN 7. On the stream service Player.pl website, live stream is available from 4 premium channels straight from the Big Brother house broadcasting 16 hours a day. Format Based on the original Dutch version created by Endemol, the show sees a number of "housemates", divided by gender, social backgrounds and geographical locations, locked up together in a house, where the viewing public can watch them twenty-four hours a day, and vote them out of the house as they choose. The housemates can visit the "Dairy Room" at any time during the day, either to talk to psychologists if they need to, talk to "Big Brother", or to nominate. TVN (Polish pronunciation: ) is a Polish free-to-air television station, network and a media and entertainment group in Poland. It was co-founded by Polish businessmen Mariusz Walter, Jan Wejchert and Swiss entrepreneur Bruno Valsangiacomo. It is owned by TVN Group, which as of April 2022, is a subsidiary of Warner Bros. Janusz Andrzej Dzięcioł (11 December 1953 – 6 December 2019) was a Polish politician, who was also known for winning the first season of ''Big Brother''. From 2007 to 2015, he was a member of Sejm of Poland from Toruń constituency. From 2002 to 2007, he was a Grudziądz City Councillor. He was also chief of the Świecie straż miejska, the municipal police force. Big Brother Between March 2001 and June 2001 he participated in the first season of Polish ''Big Brother''. He was the oldest housemate and was the winner of that season. After that program, he starred in the comedy movie ''Gulczas, a jak myślisz?'' ( en, Gulczas, what do you think?). (Gaelic version: ''Meusaidh'') is a 2000-2003 British animated children's series based on the Maisie MacKenzie books by Aileen Paterson, and produced simultaneously in English and Gaelic versions. The series is about a young cat named Maisie Mac who lives with her grandmother in Morningside in Edinburgh as her explorer father is always away. TVP3 (formerly TVP Regionalna, known also as Regionalna Trójka or Program 3 Telewizji Polskiej) is a Polish TV channel, run by the public broadcaster, TVP and dedicated to the country's regions. It has regional branches in most of the major Polish cities and, similarly to the France 3 in France or Rai Tre in Italy, for couple of hours every day it broadcasts regional programming, including local news and reports.
