Swedish Football Champions
Swedish football champions ( sv, Svenska mästare i fotboll) is a title held by the winners of the highest Swedish football league played each year, Allsvenskan. Malmö FF are the holders of the record of most titles with 22 Swedish championships. After winning the 2021 Allsvenskan, Malmö FF are also the reigning Swedish football champions. The title has been contested since 1896 in varying forms of competition. The first Swedish Champions, Örgryte IS, were declared in 1896 when the club won the cup tournament Svenska Mästerskapet. This happened before there existed any Swedish national association, which was not created until 1904. The winners of Svenska Mästerskapet between 1896 and 1904 have retroactively been declared holders of the title by the Swedish Football Association (SvFF). IS Halmia
IS Halmia is a football club, located in Halmstad, Sweden. Background IS Halmia was founded on 16 June 16, 1907 and currently plays in Division 2 Västra Götaland. In early years, the club also played bandy. The first ever bandy game between two organised teams in Halland, is thought to have been played between Halmia and local rival Halmstads BK in 1922. In 1932 Halmia won the Halland district championship in this sport. In 1932 the club also became the first team from Halmstad to reach the Allsvenskan, the top-tier football league in Sweden. In total IS Halmia has played 11 seasons in the Allsvenskan, the last time being in 1979. The club's best spell was from 1944 until 1950 when they spent seven seasons at the top level. Lundby IF is a football club formed in 1919 located in Hisingen, Göteborg, Sweden. The club currently plays in Division 6. History 1940s In 1939–1940, during the time the team played in Division 3. After winning the league, the team was promoted to Division 2. The following year the club won the Division 2 Västra. After their win, the team place 8th for 1942–1943 season. From 1943 to 1944, the club came in 7th place. The 1944–1945 season Lundby IF placed 3rd and, in 1946–1947, the club came in 6th place in the same division. 1990s to Present In 1995, the club won the Division 2 Västra Götaland and were promoted to Division 1 Södra. The following year Lundby played in Division 1 Södra and placed 12th. In 1997, the team were relegated back to Division 2 but were promoted back to Division 1 after winning Division 2.In 1998, the team placed 13th in Division 1.
