Stefán Karl Stefánsson
Stefán Karl Stefánsson (; ; 10 July 1975 – 21 August 2018) was an Icelandic actor and singer. He was best known for portraying Robbie Rotten, the antagonist of the children's television series '' LazyTown''. Career Stefán Karl's career started in 1994 at the age of 19, when he worked as a puppeteer for television. During his years as a puppeteer, he had also been studying at the Drama Academy of Iceland. However, he was unsatisfied with the perspectives of Icelandic drama standards. He recalled that his principal at his high school said that "acting is not about making faces and changing your face", which he disagreed with. Later, Stefán Karl was invited by Magnús Scheving, an Icelandic gymnast, to portray one of the characters in the second '' LazyTown'' play. Scheving created the plays due to his concerns about Iceland's younger generation lacking sufficient physical exercise. Guðrún Frá Lundi
Guðrún Baldvina Árnadóttir (3 June 1887 – 22 August 1975), known as Guðrún frá Lundi, was an Icelandic writer. She was born in Lundur, the fourth of the nine children of Árni Magnússon and his wife Baldvina Ásgrímsdóttir, and took up writing as a teenager, living on a farm. Having married a carpenter, had children and moved to Sauðárkrókur before the Second World War, she resumed writing and her first book was finally published in 1946. In her sixties, she became prolific, bringing out a book a year on average, including poetry collections. Her best known work is the epic novel ''Dalalíf'', published in several volumes and completed in 1952. Her stories mostly have a rural setting and deal with the lives of the kind of farming community where she grew up. Gunnar Gunnarsson
Gunnar Gunnarsson (18 May 1889 – 21 November 1975) was an Icelandic author who wrote mainly in Danish. He grew up, in considerable poverty, on Valþjófsstaður in Fljótsdalur valley and on Ljótsstaðir in Vopnafjörður. During the first half of 20th century he became one of the most popular novelists in Denmark and Germany. One time he went to Germany and had a meeting with Hitler and is considered to be the only Icelander to have met him. Often considered one of the most important Icelandic writers, he wrote the novel ''Af Borgslægtens Historie'' (translated into English as ''Guest the One-Eyed''), the first Icelandic writing ever made into a movie. Heimir Björgúlfsson is an Icelandic artist born in Reykjavík, Iceland in 1975. Heimir lives and works in Los Angeles, California. He holds a BFA from the Gerrit Rietveld Academy and an MFA from the Sandberg Institute, both in Amsterdam, Netherlands. He also studied Sonology at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, Netherlands. Brynjar Björn Gunnarsson (born 16 October 1975) is an Icelandic former footballer who last played for KR as a midfielder. Brynjar had previously played for Nottingham Forest, Stoke City, Watford and Reading in England as well as Vålerenga and Moss in Norway and Örgryte IS in Sweden. Barði Jóhannsson
Barði Jóhannsson (born 10 September 1975) is an Icelandic musician, composer, writer, TV show host (of the surrealist Icelandic TV show ''Konfekt''), clothing designer and film director. He is mostly known for his work with the groups Bang Gang, Lady & Bird (a side project with Keren Ann) and Starwalker, a collaboration with Jean-Benoît Dunckel. In addition to these musical outlets, Barði has been involved in a number of other audio-visual projects. Most significantly, he has written music for commercials and for the National Theatre of Iceland and Centre Dramatique d'Orleans (Museum of the Sea by Marie Darrieussecq). Ólafur Örn Bjarnason (born 15 May 1975) is an Icelandic former professional footballer who played as a centre-back. Club career He started his career in Grindavík, and returned there after two years in Swedish club Malmö FF. In 2004, he moved from Grindavík to SK Brann in Bergen, Norway.
