The president of Mexico ( es, link=no, Presidente de México), officially the president of the United Mexican States ( es, link=no, Presidente de los Estados Unidos Mexicanos), is the head of state and head of government of Mexico. Manuel Velasco Suárez (San Cristóbal de las Casas 28 December 1914 – Ciudad de México 2 December 2001) was a Mexican neurologist, neurosurgeon, scientist and humanist. He became governor of the state of Chiapas. Career Velasco founded and was the first director of National Institute of Neurology and Neurosurgery (INNN) that today bears his name and of which he was its first director. Rafael Rodríguez Barrera (February 1, 1937 – December 3, 2011) was a Mexican politician, lawyer and ambassador. He held office as the Governor of the Mexican state of Campeche from 1973 until 1979.
