Tommy Limby
Tommy Limby (5 September 1947, Gåxsjö, Jämtland – 14 January 2008) was a Swedish cross-country skier who competed in the 1970s. He earned a gold medal in the 4 × 10 km relay at the 1978 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti. In 1974 he participated in the Orsa IF men's team winning the Swedish national relay championship. Limby finished third in the Vasaloppet ( Swedish for 'the Vasa-race') is an annual long distance cross-country ski race held on the first Sunday of March. Henric Horn Af Åminne
Henric Arvid Bengt Christer Horn af Åminne (12 March 1880 – 6 December 1947) was a Swedish Army officer and horse rider who competed in the 1912 Summer Olympics. He finished tenth in the individual eventing on the horse ''Omen''. Although his team finished first, Horn af Åminne did not receive a gold medal, because only three best members of each team were counted, and he was the fourth. Elisabet Anrep-Nordin
Elisabet Anrep-Nordin (21 April 1857 – 10 August 1947), was a Swedish educator and principal of a school for blind and deaf students from 1886 to 1921. She was also elected to the city council of Vänersborg in 1910. Early life Elisabet Anrep was born in 1857 in Skultuna, the oldest daughter of the eight children of nobleman Frans Gustav Anrep and Julia Ulrika Elisabet Mörner af Morlanda. Her uncle was genealogist Johan Gabriel Anrep. She was the first woman in Sweden trained as a pedagogue for deaf students, graduating in 1877. Career Anrep-Nordin initially worked as a swim teacher at Manillaskolan, a school for the deaf, which led to her interest in becoming an educator for the blind and deaf. She is regarded as a pioneer in her field and was the founder of ('School Home for the Blind Deafmute'), renamed the ('Queen Sophia Foundation') in Skara, and its principal in from 1886 1921. Mauritz Eriksson (18 December 1888 – 14 February 1947) was a Swedish sport shooter who competed in the 1912 Summer Olympics, in the 1920 Summer Olympics, and in the 1924 Summer Olympics. Sven Melander
Sven Alarik Melander (30 October 1947 – 31 March 2022) was a Swedish journalist, comedian, television presenter, and actor. He hosted multiple shows for SVT, acted in films and theater, and co-presented the 1994 Melodifestivalen competition. Early life Melander grew up in Malmö with his parents, Alrik Melander (1907–1977) and Alice Melander (née Mattsson; 1911–1986). By 1965, Melander was part of the Malmö FF ice hockey team, which won the SDS-Pucken competition of that year. Two of his teammates were future national-team footballers Staffan Tapper and Roy Andersson. During his high school years, he befriended musician Björn Afzelius. In 1967, both Melander and Afzelius were part of a hootenanny band called Lille Mats.
