Arturo Alessandri
Arturo Fortunato Alessandri Palma (; December 20, 1868 – August 24, 1950) was a Chilean political figure and reformer who served thrice as president of Chile, first from 1920 to 1924, then from March to October 1925, and finally from 1932 to 1938. Early life Arturo Alessandri was the son of Pedro Alessandri Vargas and Susana Palma Guzmán. His grandfather, Pietro Allesandri Tarzi, was an Italian immigrant from Tuscany who had arrived in Chile from Argentina. Alessandri’s father, Pedro, became head of the family at the age of 19; at the time of Alessandri’s birth, he ran an estate in LongavÃ. Clodomiro Almeyda
Clodomiro Almeyda Medina (February 11, 1923 – August 25, 1997) was a Chilean politician. A leading member of the Socialist Party, served as Minister of Foreign Affairs of Chile from 1970 to 1973 during the Presidency of Salvador Allende. Biography He did his first studies at the German and Application High Schools of Santiago, and then studied at the Faculty of Law, University of Chile. He graduated in 1948 with a thesis entitled "Towards a Marxist theory of the State". He later became a professor of political science in the domain of his studies, especially in the School of Sociology. He joined the Socialist Party of Chile in 1941, participating in the Popular Socialist Party during the internal bankruptcy in the first part of the 1950s. Jorge Hübner
Jorge Hübner (Santiago, 11 April 1923 - Las Condes, Santiago 17 December 2006) was a Chilean lawyer, professor and politician. Early life The son of the couple formed by the famous Chilean poet Jorge Hübner Bezanilla (impossible love of Gabriela Mistral) and Ofelia Gallo Schiavetti, Hübner Gallo, after studying in Europe and at the San Ignacio School, went on to study philosophy at the Pedagogical and Law Institute of the University of Chile's Law School, where he was a professor until the day of his death. For a long time he also taught at the Barros Arana National Boarding School. Of conservative opinion, he joined the Conservative Party and later the National Party. Julio MartÃnez (journalist)
Julio MartÃnez Prádanos (Temuco, Chile, June 23, 1923 – Santiago, Chile, January 2, 2008) was a Chilean sports commentator specializing in football who had a long career in the written press, radio and television. He won the 1995 National Prize for Journalism, awarded by the Chilean Ministry of Education. He belongs to a generation of ever-lasting emblematic Chilean sports commentators, along with Sergio Livingstone, Pedro Carcuro, Alberto Fouillioux, Néstor Isella and Milton Millas. MartÃnez died of terminal prostate cancer on January 2, 2008, after years of failing health.
