Erik Friborg
Johan Erik Friborg (24 January 1893 – 22 May 1968) was a Swedish road racing cyclist who competed in the 1912 Summer Olympics. He finished seventh individually and won a gold medal with the Swedish team. The city of Västerås donated a silver trophy to be given to the best Swedish road cyclist at the 1912 Olympics, and the trophy went to Friborg. In 1955 he donated it to a Swedish racing society (Sällskapet Gamla Tävlingcyklister), which decided to present it to the best Swedish cyclist at each forthcoming Olympics, as originally intended. After the 1912 Games Friborg moved to the United States. In 1917, he enlisted in the Swedish army and participated in the final stages of World War I. After that he settled in France and worked as a physiotherapist in Cannes. He attended the 1920 and 1948 Olympics as a masseur for Swedish wrestlers; at the 1924 Games in Paris he was an interpreter and deputy head of the Swedish cycling team. Anna Christina Cronquist
Anna Christina Cronquist, née ''Lundgren'' (1807–1893), was a Swedish entrepreneur. She was the founder of the firm '' A.C. Cronquist & Son'', which was the start of the Cronquist Era within manufacture and Major appliance business in Malmö. Life Anna Christina Cronquist married in 1830 to Johan Cronquist (d. 1852), editor and publisher of the newspaper '' Malmö Nya Allehanda'' in Malmö. As the income from the paper was not sufficient to support a family, she gave lessons in weaving: skilled in the art, she published the possibly first instruction book in weaving in Swedish in 1845. Between 1849 and 1865, Cronquist managed a very successful textile shop, which became the biggest in Malmö and reputed in all Scania. She was likely the first married woman in Sweden to have started her own firm rather than to have inherited it, and she was also the first married woman to have started a firm in her own name: ''A.C. Maria Westberg
Maria Charlotta Westberg (3 February 1853 – 4 December 1893), was a Swedish ballerina. Westberg was born in Stockholm to the litographer Peter Magnus Westberg and Hedvig Maria Lönnqvist. She was a student dancer of the Royal Swedish Ballet in 1860, a premier student dancer in 1867, and a second dancer in 1870-1872. She was engaged at the Royal Danish Ballet in 1872-1890, where she enjoyed a successful career as a Premier solo dancer in 1875-1890. Westberg was engaged at the Royal Danish Ballet on request of August Bournonville. Bournonville was searching for someone who could be able to replace his retiring primadonna Betty Schnell, and noticed Westberg during his guest performance at Royal Swedish Ballet in Sweden in 1871. Maria Westberg was a star of the Royal Danish Ballet during the 1870s and 1880s, when she performed the female main part of a number of ballet performances. Gerda Höjer
Gerda Höjer (23 July 1893 - 20 June 1974), was a Swedish nurse and politician for the Liberal People's Party. Gerda Höjer was a nurse and the president of the Swedish Association of Nurses from 1945 to 1960. She was a member of the second chamber of the Riksdag (1949-1960). Gillis Grafström
Gillis Emanuel Grafström (7 June 1893 – 14 April 1938) was a Swedish figure skater. He was born in Stockholm, Sweden. He won three successive Olympic gold medals in Men's Figure Skating (1920, 1924, 1928) as well as an Olympic silver medal in the same event in 1932, and three World Championships (1922, 1924, 1929). He and Eddie Eagan are the only athletes to have won a gold medal at both the Summer and Winter Olympic Games. Grafström has the further distinction of being the only person to have won an individual gold medal in both the Summer (1920) and Winter Olympics (1924, 1928), although Eagan remains the only one to have managed the feat in different disciplines.
