Søren Georg Abel
Søren Georg Abel (3 January 1772 – 5 May 1820) was a Norwegian priest and politician, also known as the father of mathematician Niels Henrik Abel. Personal life Søren Georg Abel was born on 3 January 1772 in Mo, Telemark as the son of Hans Mathias Abel (1738–1803) and Elisabeth Knuth Normann (1737–1817).Genealogy

Peder Von Todderud
Peder von Todderud (17 July 1691 – 30 May 1772) was a Norwegian military officer and landowner. Personal life Todderud was born in Stange on 17 July 1691. He was the son of farmers Gulbrand Alfssøn and Birte Johannesdatter, and married Maren Olsdatter in 1720. Career Todderud started his military career in 1707. In 1750 he was promoted colonel and chief of Oppland Regiment. He was promoted major general in 1760, and retired in 1764. In 1751 von Todderud acquired the estate Åker in Vang, Hedmark Vang is a former municipality in the old Hedmark county, Norway. Rose-painting, , or is a Scandinavian decorative folk painting that flourished from the 1700s to the mid-19th century, particularly in Norway. In Sweden, rose-painting began to be called , c. 1901, for the region where it had been most popular and (''kurbits''), in the 1920s, for a characteristic trait, but in Norway the old name still predominates beside terms for local variants. Rose-painting was used to decorate church walls and ceilings. It then spread to wooden items commonly used in daily life, such as ale bowls, stools, chairs, cupboards, boxes, and trunks. Sveinung Bjørnson Svalastoga (1772–1809) was a Norwegian rose painter, poet and woodcarver. Biography Sveinung Bjørnson Svalastoga was born in the community of Vinje in Rauland, Telemark County. He was the son of Bjørn Bjørnson Gardsjord (1731-1782) and Ingebjørg Rikardsdotter Svalastoga (1730-1776). He was born at Svalastoga, one of the area's oldest farm. Sveinung Svalastoga painted living room interiors, cupboards, chests and bowl with powerful and colorful designs, often randomly placed. Many of his works have been retained, both room decorations as well as smaller objects like chests and cupboards. Hans Hagerup Falbe (7 February 1772 – 17 October 1830) was a Norwegian lawyer, judge and government official. He served as a member of the Norwegian Council of State Department in Stockholm (''Norske statsråder i Stockholm''). Falbe was born in Copenhagen, Denmark. He was the son of Councillor of State Johan Christian Falbe (1740–1801) and Anna Cathrine Hagerup de Gyldenpalm (1741–1815). During 1791, he earned a law degree at the University of Copenhagen. From 1799 to 1809, he was a court assessor. Between 1809 and 1815, he was Chief Justice of the Criminal Court in Christiania (now Oslo). During 1814 he participated in the Meeting of Notables at Eidsvoll (''Stormannsmøtet på Eidsvoll'') which convened in the aftermath of the Treaty of Kiel. Peder Klykken (29 November 1772 – 22 January 1861) was a Norwegian judge and politician. Klykken was born at Overhalla in Nord-Trøndelag Nord-Trøndelag (; "North Trøndelag") was a county constituting the northern part of the present-day Trøndelag county in Norway. Hans Andersen Barlien (29 February 1772 – 31 October 1842) was a Norwegian farmer and politician. He has been credited with the establishment of a Norwegian-American immigrant settlement in Sugar Creek, Iowa. Personal life Barlien was born in Overhalla, Nord-Trøndelag 29 February 1772 to Anders Sørensen and Ane Hansdatter.
