Abraham Pihl
Abraham Pihl (3 October 1756 – 20 May 1821) was a Norwegian clergyman, astronomer, and architect. Biography Abraham Pihl was born in Gausdal, in Oppland county, Norway. He completed priest study at the University of Copenhagen in 1783 where he had also studied mathematics, mechanics and astronomy. In 1784, Pihl became vicar at Flekkefjord in the county of Vest-Agder. From 1785 he was appointed as Denmark-Norway astronomical observer in Norway. In 1789, he was appointed to serve as priest in the parish of Vang in Hedmark (''Vang kirke, Hamar'') where he would serve until his death in 1821. When Vang church burned down in 1804, Pihl designed the new church and oversaw construction work. The church has an octagonal shape and is with 1000 seats the second largest of Norway's octagonal churches. The building later served as a model for octagonal churches the western side of Mjøsa. Joachim Andreas Stukenbrock
Joachim Andreas Stukenbrock (1699 – 26 September 1756) was a Germany-born, Norwegian mining official. He was born at Blankenburg in the mining district of Harz, (now Saxony-Anhalt), Germany. He was enrolled at the University of Helmstedt in 1719. In 1730, he was mining inspector for the iron mines of the Duchy of Brunswick-Lüneburg. In 1732, he was appointed the first mining inspector (''Berghauptmann'') at the Kongsberg Silver Mines. At the initiative of Christian Ernest of Stolberg-Wernigerode Christian Ernest, Count of Stolberg-Wernigerode, (2 April 1691, Gedern – 25 October 1771, Wernigerode) was a German politician and a member of the House of Stolberg. Peter Andreas Heuch (18 April 1756 – 5 December 1825) was a Norwegian merchant. Heuch was a ship-owner based in the coastal town of Kragerø in Telemark county, Norway. Anders Lysgaard
Anders Lysgaard (15 August 1756 – 24 May 1827) was a Norwegian farmer and sheriff. He was a representative at the Norwegian Constituent Assembly at Eidsvoll. Anders Eriksen Lysgaard was born in the parish of Tretten in Øyer in Oppland, Norway. He was the youngest of seven children born into a farming family in the traditional region of Gudbrandsdal. His family lived on the farm Jevne in Øyer. Anders Lysgaard was appointed sheriff under the magistrate of Ringsaker in Hedmark from 1782 to 1786. Anders Lysgaard was married in 1786 with Ingeborg Larsdatter Svennes (1771-1858) and took over Svennes, a sizable farm near the village of Biri, Norway, Biri. He represented ''Christians amt'' (now Oppland) at the Norwegian Constituent Assembly at Eidsvoll in 1814 where he favored the independence party (''Selvstendighetspartiet''). Knut Helle
Knut Helle (19 December 1930 – 27 June 2015) was a Norwegian historian. A professor at the University of Bergen from 1973 to 2000, he specialized in the late medieval history of Norway. He has contributed to several large works. Early life, education and marriage He was born in Larvik as the son of school inspector Hermann Olai Helle (1893–1973) and teacher Berta Marie Malm (1906–1991).
