C. P. Yogeeshwara
Chakkere Puttamade Gowda Yogeshwara is an Indian Politician and Actor from the state of Karnataka who served as the Minister of Tourism, Environment and Ecology Department of Karnataka from 21 January 2021 to 26 July 2021. He is a member of the Karnataka Legislative Council and is a former member of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly representing the Channapatna constituency. He also worked in Kannada Film Industry (Sandalwood) in lead roles. His performance in Utthara Druvadind Dakshina Druvaku, Badhri, Kambalahalli, Preethi Nee Illade Na Hegirali and Sainika were praised. His last role was in the movie Attahasa as a cop, the film was based on the life of Veerappan. He was nominated as MLC on 22/07/2020 from BJP. Early life C.P. Anand Prithviraj Singh is an Indian politician who is currently serving as Minister of Tourism, Ecology and Environment of Karnataka since 4 August 2021. Veerappan
Koose Munisamy Veerappan (18 January 1952 – 18 October 2004) was an Indian bandit turned domestic terrorist who was active for 36 years, and kidnapped major politicians for ransom. He was charged with sandalwood smuggling and poaching of elephants in the scrub lands and forests in the states of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala. He was wanted for killing approximately 184 people, about half of whom were police officers and forest officials and was also wanted for poaching more than 2000 elephants and smuggling ivory worth US$2,600,000 (₹16 crore) and about 65000 kilograms of sandalwood worth approximately US$22,000,000 (₹143 crore). The battle to capture Veerappan cost the governments of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka over ₹100 crore. Kannada cinema, also known as Sandalwood, or Chandanavana, is the segment of Indian cinema dedicated to the production of motion pictures in the Kannada language widely spoken in the state of Karnataka. The 1934 film ''Sati Sulochana'' directed by Y. V. Rao was the first talkie film in the Kannada language.
