C. J. Stroud
Coleridge Bernard "C. J." Stroud IV (born October 3, 2001) is an American football quarterback for the Ohio State Buckeyes. He played high school football at Rancho Cucamonga High School in Rancho Cucamonga, California. Stroud holds many Ohio State records, including most passing yards in a single game with 573 as well as being the first player to throw for six touchdowns three times. Stroud was a Heisman Trophy finalist in 2021 and 2022. Early years Stroud was born on October 3, 2001,in Rancho Cucamonga, California, as the youngest of four children. His father has been incarcerated since Stroud was in middle school. Snap (gridiron Football)
A snap (colloquially called a "hike", "snapback", or "pass from center") is the backward passing of the ball in gridiron football at the start of play from scrimmage. Action The ball begins on the ground with its long axis parallel to the sidelines of the field, its ends marking each team's line of scrimmage in American football; in Canadian football, the line of scrimmage of the team without the ball is 1 yard past their side of the ball. Justin Skyler Fields (born March 5, 1999) is an American football quarterback for the Chicago Bears of the National Football League (NFL). Redshirt, in United States college athletics, is a delay or suspension of an athlete's participation in order to lengthen their period of eligibility. Typically, a student's athletic eligibility in a given sport is four seasons, aligning with the four years of academic classes typically required to earn a bachelor's degree at an American college or university. However, in a redshirt year, student athletes may attend classes at the college or university, practice with an athletic team, and "suit up" (wear a team uniform) for play – but they may compete in only a limited number of games (see " Use of status" section). The All-American Bowl is a high school football all-star game, held annually at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. Typically played in January, the All-American Bowl is played between all-star teams representing the eastern and western United States. Seventeen All-Americans have been Heisman Trophy finalists, with over 450 later playing in the National Football League. Elite 11
The Elite 11 is a quarterback competition for high school quarterbacks across the United States. Elite 11 was founded in 1999 by Andy Bark and continues to be run by his company, Student Sports Inc, hosted at the Nike World Headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon. Over the years, 12–24 of the nation's top quarterbacks have been selected to attend the Elite 11 Finals from 6 to 8 regional competitions held across the country, where over 400 quarterbacks compete and are evaluated. Prior to 2012, the Elite 11 Finals were held across various sites in Southern California. Since 2013, the Elite 11 has been held at Nike World Headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon in conjunction with The Opening.
