C.L.G. Chill Chartha
CLG Chill Chartha is a GAA club based in Kilcar, County Donegal, in Ulster, Ireland. They have won the Donegal Senior Football Championship on six occasions, the last in 2017. They regard themselves as being "down the trough". The club has an intense rivalry with Na Cealla Beaga. The club also maintains a strong rivalry with their neighbours, Naomh Columba. History John McNulty, a former candidate for the Seanad, managed the club to Junior "B", Minor and Under-21 Championships and the 2014 Division 1 league title, though he did not win the Senior Football Championship. Michael Carr is an Irish former Gaelic footballer who played for Cill Chartha and the Donegal county team. Carr was man of the match in the 1980 Donegal Senior Football Championship final. James McHugh (Gaelic Footballer)
James McHugh is an Irish former Gaelic footballer who played for Cill Chartha and the Donegal county team. As of 2009, he was working for the ESB. Playing career McHugh made his championship debut against Cavan in 1990. He played against Armagh in the 1990 Ulster final, won by Donegal. A member of Donegal's 1992 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship winning team, he played for the county from 1990 until 1996. He played as a forward and started at left half forward in the 1992 All-Ireland Final, scoring a point from play as Donegal defeated Dublin by a scoreline of 0–18 to 0–14. He won an All Star in 1992. He played on for his county until 1996. With his club Cill Chartha, McHugh won the Championship in 1985, 1989, and 1993. Eoin McHugh
Eoin McHugh (born 1994/5) is an Irish Gaelic footballer who plays for Cill Chartha and the Donegal county team. He is the only son of James McHugh, a member of the team that defeated Dublin in the 1992 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship Final. His uncle Martin was also a member of that team. The 2012 All-Ireland Football Final, the 125th event of its kind and the culmination of the 2012 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship, was played at Croke Park, Dublin, on 23 September 2012. Donegal and Mayo, widely considered "one of the most novel final pairings of all time", met to decide the destination of the Sam Maguire Cup, with Donegal ultimately emerging victorious as Mayo were yet again undone by "the curse". Patrick McBrearty (born 5 August 1993) is an Irish Gaelic footballer who plays for Cill Chartha and the Donegal county team. He is usually selected in the full-forward line for his county, often flanking Michael Murphy with Colm McFadden (before McFadden's retirement).
