Børre Knudsen
Børre Arnold Knudsen (1937–2014) was a Norwegian Lutheran priest noted for his anti-abortion activism. Together with Ludvig Nessa, he staged protests at abortion clinics as well as other public stunts starting in the late 1980s, and he spent time in jail for refusing to pay fines received for his protests. Dismissed as parish priest of Balsfjord in 1983 due to his refusal to perform his official state duties in protest against new abortion laws, he helped establish the Deanery of Strandebarm in 1991, also known as the "Church of Norway in Exile". He was ordained as bishop by the church in 1997 until retiring in 2008 due to failing health. He was defrocked from the Church of Norway in 2001. Knudsen was also noted as a prolific hymn poet, and two of his hymns has later been included in the Norwegian hymn book, as well as the hymn books of other churches. Odd Børre
Odd Børre Sørensen (born 9 August 1939, in Harstad) is a former Norwegian pop singer. He was better known by his stage name of Odd Børre. Internationally, he is best known for the song "Stress" that he performed in the Eurovision Song Contest of 1968. He sang in the Kjell Karlsen's Orchestra (1962–70) and was releasing singles during that period. He retired from full-time professional singing in 1970 and became an insurance company agent (although he did perform in the Norwegian national finals in 1971 and 1977 and was one of the judges in the 1978 final). After retiring in the early 2000s, Odd Børre teamed up again with Kjell Karlsen and is currently performing. Børre Dalhaug
Børre Dalhaug (born 29 April 1974 in Ålesund, Norway) is a Norwegian jazz musician (drums), music arranger and music instructor. Career Dalhaug has worked as a musician since 1995 and done around 800 concerts with bands like The Real Thing (jazz band), The Real Thing, Staffan William-Olsson, Staffan William-Olsson Sextet, Nora Brockstedt, Oslo Groove Company, Bohuslän Big Band among others. He has performed in Pakistan, India, Russia, France, Germany, Finland, Sweden and Denmark and participates on a number of albums. He released the Spellemannprisen nominated big band album ''BigBandBlast!'' (2004), and leads his own big band called «Børre Dalhaugs Bigbandblast» in addition to being a sideman in numerous projects. Børre also works as a composer and arranger. Egil Børre Johnsen
Egil Børre Johnsen (born 14 July 1936 in Oslo) is a Norwegian author. Johnsen has written several non-fiction books on Norwegian language, Norwegian literature, literature and Education in Norway, schools, as well as textbooks for upper secondary schools. In his book ''Det store bondefangeriet'' (1981), he critiqued the Norwegian subject in schools. Later, he edited the three-volume work ''Vårt eget språk'' (Our own language). He has also published biographies of Nordahl Rolfsen and Knud Knudsen (linguist), Knud Knudsen. Børre Sæthre (b. 1967 in Oslo, Norway) is a Norwegian artist whose exhibitions combine many skills, including those of the architect, the interior designer and the set dresser. His installations comprise interconnected environments that take the visitor into a fantastic, dreamlike universe which is both aesthetically pleasing and psychologically disquieting. In 1996, he launched LUSTLUX, under which his spatial environments (incorporating walls, furniture, light, sound, and different props) are produced.
