Béla Dankó
Béla Dankó (born 13 May 1969) is a Hungarian politician, member of the National Assembly (MP) for Szarvas ( Békés County Constituency V) from 2010 to 2014, and for Békés (Békés County Constituency II) since 2014. He became MP after a by-election, replacing László Domokos, who was appointed President of the State Audit Office. Dankó was a member of the Committee on Local Government and Regional Development, the Committee on Sustainable Development, then the Agriculture Committee. The National Assembly ( hu, Országgyűlés, lit=Country Assembly) is the parliament of Hungary. The unicameral body consists of 199 (386 between 1990 and 2014) members elected to 4-year terms. Szarvas
Szarvas (; sk, Sarvaš; german: Sarwasch) is a town in Békés County, Hungary. Name Placename Szarvas originated from the old Hungarian word ''szarvas'', which means deer. Deer also can be found in the coat of arms of the town. Location Szarvas is located in the Great Hungarian Plain upon the Körös River, southeast from Budapest. Highways 44 and 443, and the Mezőtúr-Orosháza-Mezőhegyes railway line also cross the town. The geographic centre of Hungary was near Szarvas before the Treaty of Trianon; a memorial in a windmill shape now marks that location in a park on a bank of the Körös River across from the Arboretum. Békés County
Békés (, , ro, Județul Bichiș) is an administrative division (county or ''megye'') in south-eastern Hungary, on the border with Romania. It shares borders with the Hungarian counties Csongrád, Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok, and Hajdú-Bihar. The capital of Békés county is Békéscsaba. History The area of the present town has been inhabited since ancient times, due to its good soil and proximity to rivers. After Hungarians conquered the area, Békés and its surroundings were the property of the '' Csolt'' clan. Békés (the name means 'peaceful') was originally the name of the castle which gave its name to the comitatus, and, like many castles, was possibly named after its first steward. Many documents from the 13th century prove that Békés was the county seat. After 1403, when the area became the estate of the Maróthi family, Békés slowly lost its importance and the role of the centre of the comitatus was gradually taken over by Gyula. Kondoros
Kondoros ( sk, Kondoroš) is a town in Békés County, in the Southern Great Plain region of south-east Hungary.
