Béatrice Stöckli
Béatrice Stöckli (died 9 October 2020) was a Swiss Christian missionary. She was killed in 2020 after having been taken hostage by the Islamic militant group Jama'at Nasr al-Islam wal Muslimin, a branch of Al-Qaeda in Mali. Biography Stöckli was from Basel. She worked as an Evangelical Christian missionary in Mali. Stöckli was kidnapped in April 2012, after being in Mali for ten years, by an Islamic extremist group. She was later released under the terms that she not return to Mali. She returned, and was kidnapped again in 2016 by Jama'at Nasr al-Islam wal Muslimin, the official branch of Al-Qaeda in Mali, while working in Timbuktu. In July 2017 she appeared in a video released by the terrorist group, wearing a black headscarf, and was identified as "Beatrice S." Nusrat al-Islam, officially known as Jama'a Nusrat ul-Islam wa al-Muslimin' (, JNIM; , GSIM English language, English: ''Support Group for Islam and Muslims'') is a militant Jihadism, jihadist organisation in the Maghreb and West Africa formed by the merger of Ansar Dine, the Macina Liberation Front, Al-Mourabitoun (militant group), Al-Mourabitoun and the Saharan branch of Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb. It is the official branch of Al-Qaeda in Mali, after its leaders swore allegiance to Ayman al-Zawahiri. ''Post-'' (stylized in all caps) is the third solo album by American singer-songwriter Jeff Rosenstock. It was released on January 1, 2018, without any promotional lead-up. The album was released on Polyvinyl Record Co. in the United States and by Specialist Subject Records in the United Kingdom. Much of ''Post-'' was written in the Catskill Mountains shortly after the 2016 presidential election. The resulting songs are "chiefly concerned with losing hope in your country, yourself, and those around you." The album was primarily recorded at Atomic Garden Studios in Palo Alto, California in late November and early December 2017. Additional recording took place at the Quote Unquote Records offices in Brooklyn, New York and in East Durham, New York. Guests on the album include Rosenstock's bandmate in Antarctigo Vespucci, Chris Farren; as well as frequent collaborator Dan Potthast, American singer-songwriter Laura Stevenson and Canadian punk rock band PUP.
