Peter Ablinger
Peter Ablinger (born 15 March 1959) is an Austrian composer. Ablinger was born in 1959 in Schwanenstadt in Upper Austria. He attended the graphic HTL Linz and studied jazz piano from 1977 to 1982 in Graz. He also studied composition with Gösta Neuwirth in Graz and Roman Haubenstock-Ramati in Vienna. Since 1982 he has lived in Berlin. Ablinger focused on chamber music ensembles to 1994, after which he was also involved in electro-acoustics and sound installation. Since 1980 he is working on plant complex "White / Whitish," which deals with various aspects of the white noise, and proved to be very use of different media: instruments, installations, objects, electro-acoustic pieces, note plays, prose, plays, music without sound ; total of 36 parts. Dante Boon
Dante Boon (born 1973) is a Dutch composer and pianist. A member of the Wandelweiser composers collective, he is perhaps best known as an interpreter of experimental piano music. His own music has been performed internationally to wide acclaim. Biography Dante Boon started his piano studies at age 14, with Willem Brons at the Sweelinck Conservatorium in Amsterdam. He studied composition with Diderik Wagenaar at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague. At the age of 24, he joined the Dutch rock band The Scene as a keyboardist and arranger. A champion of experimental piano music and of Wandelweiser in particular, Boon has premiered over 100 works, many of which written specifically for him. Horse Lords are an American avant-garde rock band from Baltimore. The members are Andrew Bernstein (saxophone/percussion), Max Eilbacher (bass/electronics), Owen Gardner (guitar), and Sam Haberman (drums). Michael Pisaro (born 1961 in Buffalo, New York) is a guitarist and composer. A member of the Wandelweiser Composers Ensemble, he has composed over 80 works for a great variety of instrumental combinations, including several pieces for variable instrumentation. Works A particularly large category of Pisaro's works are solo works, notably a series of 36 pieces (grouped into 6 longer works) for the three-year, 156-concert series organized by Carlo Inderhees at the Zionskirche in Berlin-Mitte from 1997-1999. Another solo piece, ''pi (1-2594)'', was performed in installments by the composer on 15 selected days in February 1999, in Evanston, Illinois, in Düsseldorf in 2000-2001 and at the Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival in 2009 (with Philip Thomas, pianist). Mattin is an artist from Bilbao working mostly with noise and improvisation. Mattin also has written about improvisation, free software, and against the notion of intellectual property. In 2001 Mattin formed ''Sakada'' with Eddie Prévost and Rosy Parlane. He has over 70 releases in different labels around the world. He runs the experimental record labels w.m.o/r and Free Software Series, and the netlabel Desetxea. Mattin publishes his music under the no-licence of Anti-copyright. Jeff Witscher (born August 13, 1983) is an American electronic musician. Biography Witscher has recorded and performed under many aliases, of which the best-known is Rene Hell. Witscher got his start in the underground music scene in Los Angeles, CA in the early 2000s performing with his brother Greg in groups such as Rainbow Blanket and Cruel Face. In 2004 he started the label Callow God, releasing music by many important west coast Harsh Noise artists. Following a move to Iowa City in 2007 Witscher began using the moniker Rene Hell.
