Badminton Football Club is a former Chilean football club based in the city of Santiago, until 1969, when they moved to Curicó. The club was founded 12 July 1912 and it was one of the eight teams that founded the first division professional of the Chilean football league, in 1933. Since 1950, the club adopted the name of ''Ferrobadminton'', when it merged with another Santiago team, Ferroviarios, until 1969, when both teams took separate paths again. In 1969 they moved to Curicó Curicó (), meaning "Black Waters" in Mapudungun (originally meaning "Land of Black Water"), is the capital city of the Curicó Province, part of the Maule Region in Chile's central valley. Estadio La Granja
The Estadio La Granja is a sports venue which is located in Curicó, Maule Region, Chile. The stadium holds 8,278 people and is part of a large sporting complex which also features tennis courts, swimming pools, a gymnasium, a velodrome and some other sport fields. It is the home stadium of Curicó Unido; and the former home ground of ''Alianza de Curicó'', Luis Cruz, and Badminton de Curicó. The stadium, currently owned by the Municipality of Curicó, originally has a capacity of 4,000. The first change; in 1985; was an increase of about 1,200, and another change was an increase to a capacity of 6,000, effected in 2004. An almost total reconstruction of the stadium was made in 2010, at that time only the west stands remains of the old stadium. Curicó (), meaning "Black Waters" in Mapudungun (originally meaning "Land of Black Water"), is the capital city of the Curicó Province, part of the Maule Region in Chile's central valley. Club Deportivo Ferroviarios de Chile is a Chilean Football club based in Estacion Central, Santiago. They currently play at the fifth level of Chilean football, the Tercera B.
