Buzzkill (TV Series)
''Buzzkill'' is a hidden-camera reality show which started airing in 1996 on the MTV network. The show derived its name from the slang term ''buzzkill'', meaning a sudden undesired event that causes one's "high" or "buzz" to become of a lesser experience or depleted. Each new episode was set in a different location and consisted of three separate pranks. Premise A forerunner to prank reality shows, ''Buzzkill'' was essentially a series of elaborate pranks (backed by a major television network's budget) played not only on the layman but often on celebrities and major public figures. Each prank was played by three aspiring actors from the Chicago area: Dave Sheridan (creator), Frank Hudetz, and Travis Draft. The show's most memorable moment was when Hudetz disguised himself as famous designer Isaac Mizrahi. "Buzzkill" is a song co-written and recorded by American country artist Luke Bryan for his compilation album, '' Spring Break...Here to Party'' (2013). It is one of two new songs featured on the compilation, along with "Just a Sip", the rest of the album being composed of songs from Bryan's four spring break-themed EPs. Despite not being officially promoted as a single, "Buzzkill" debuted at number 5 on the US Country Digital Songs chart and a music video was filmed for the song. ''The Kids Will Know It's Bullshit'' is the second studio album by Australian rock band Dune Rats. It was released on 20 January 2017 by Ratbag Records and Dine Alone Records. It was produced by Zac Carper of American punk band FIDLAR. It debuted at number one on the ARIA Albums Chart in February 2017, which was achieved after heavy touring across Australia, including at the Laneway Festival. The album was preceded by the release of the songs "Bullshit" and "Scott Green" in 2016, which were voted into the Triple J Hottest 100, 2016 at 33 and 34, respectively. In 2017, the songs Braindead and 6 Pack were voted into the Triple J Hottest 100, 2017 at 75 and 55 respectively. An interactive music video was also made for "Scott Green". The title came from Courtney Taylor-Taylor, frontman of The Dandy Warhols, who told Dune Rats after the two bands played together in the United States: "Y'know, you've gotta write your ''own'' record ... or the kids will know it's bullshit."
