Bustos, Bulacan
Bustos, officially the Municipality of Bustos ( tgl, Bayan ng Bustos), is a 2nd class municipality in the province of Bulacan, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 77,199 people. With the continuous expansion of Metro Manila, Bustos is now included in the Greater Manila's built-up conurbation area which reaches San Ildefonso, Bulacan at its northernmost part. Etymology The town got its name from Jose Pedro Perez de Busto a mining engineer from Villaviciosa, Asturias, Spain, served as the right-hand of Simón de Anda y Salazar, and was appointed ''teniente general alcalde'' (Provincial Governor) of Bulacan. Bustos Dam
Bustos Dam also known as Angat Afterbay Regulator Dam is a small irrigation dam at Bustos, Bulacan is often mistaken by the locals as Angat Dam since it is located close to the nearby town of Angat. The project is located at Barangay Tibagan, Bustos, Bulacan, served by the Angat River. The main dam is about 18 meters above sea level. Greater Manila Area
The Greater Manila Area is the contiguous urbanization region surrounding the Metropolitan Manila area. This built-up zone includes Metro Manila and the neighboring provinces of Bulacan to the north, Cavite and Laguna to the south, and Rizal to the east. Though sprawl continues to absorb new zones, some urban zones are independent clusters of settlements surrounded by non-urban areas. Bulacan
Bulacan, officially the Province of Bulacan ( tl, Lalawigan ng Bulacan), is a province in the Philippines located in the Central Luzon region. Its capital is the city of Malolos. Bulacan was established on August 15, 1578, and part of the Metro Luzon Urban Beltway Super Region.
