Jean-Marc Bustamante (born 1952 in Toulouse) is a French artist, painter, sculptor and photographer. He is a noted conceptual and installation artist and has incorporated ornamental design and architectural space in his works. Career Bustamante first entered the world of art in the mid-70s, when he was employed as an assistant by the photographer William Klein. In 1978 he began to produce huge color photographs landscapes near Barcelona. Entitled Tableaux, they looked like oil paintings with wooden frames. Penelope Curtis wrote in an exhibition catalogue of 2010: "Nothing is happening; there is no timetable, there is no narrative, other than what is in front of our eyes." Examples of these pioneering works are owned by the Metropolitan Museum in New York, Barcelona’s Museum of Contemporary Art (MACBA) and the Centre Pompidou in Paris. Bustamante, Nuevo León
Bustamante is a municipality and town of Mexico in the state of Nuevo León. The full name is San Miguel de Bustamante. The municipality has an area of 558 km². It is bordered on the north by Lampazos de Naranjo and the state of Coahuila, on the south by Mina and Villaldama, Nuevo Leon, on the east by Villaldama, and on the west by Mina. In 2010 the population of the municipality was 3,773, of which nearly all lived in the town of Bustamante. Geography Bustamante is located in an irrigated valley at the mouth of a well-watered canyon in the headwaters of the Sabinas River, a tributary of the Salado River. The Sierra de Gomas to the west of the town rise to an elevation of 5,591 feet (1,704 m) at the Cabeza de Leon four miles south-southwest of Bustamante. Teodoro Sánchez De Bustamante
Teodoro Sánchez de Bustamante (10 January 1778–1 May 1851) was an Argentine statesman, lawyer and soldier. He was a representative to the Congress of Tucumán which on 9 July 1816 declared the Independence of Argentina. Sánchez de Bustamante was born in Jujuy to Manuel Sánchez de Bustamante and María Tomasa González de Araujo y Ortiz de Zárate, and was a descendant of the founder of Jujuy, Francisco Argañaraz y Murguía. He studied in Salta at the school of José León Cabezón, then in Buenos Aires at the '' Real Colegio de San Carlos''. Mariano Emilio Bustamante y Mantilla (August 5, 1831 – June 7, 1880) was a Peruvian hero of the War of the Pacific between Chile and Peru, fighting in the battles of San Francisco, Tarapacá and Arica, in which he was killed while combating.
