Burt Blague (born Sergey Ignatov (russian: Сергéй Леони́дович Игнáтов); born September 7, 1975) is a 4th generation artist, circus performer, comedian, director, teacher and producer. Burt was born in a circus family, the dynasty of circus artists – the Ignatovs whose history began in the beginning of the 20th century. The great-grandfather, Ivan Petrovich Ignatov (1900-1975), was a groom and a riding master at the circus. He was an assistant trainer for the Nikitins, Efim Efimov, Gleb Lapiado, Vladimir Teplov. The grandfather, Mikhail Ivanovich Ignatov (1922-1967), was a circus artist. Before the World War II he had been a dzhigit in Kshi's group. In the 1950s, he was an administrator at the Children's Department of the Mosconcert. In the 1960s he performed on stage with trained dogs and monkeys. Alexander Naumovich Mitta (russian: Алекса́ндр Нау́мович Митта́; born 28 March 1933 in Moscow) is a Soviet Union, Soviet and Russian film director, screenwriter and actor. Mitta's birth name was Alexander Naumovich Rabinovich (russian: Рабино́вич). He studied engineering (graduated in 1955), then worked as a cartoonist in art and humour magazines. The State Fair of Texas is an annual state fair held in Dallas at historic Fair Park. James Titus Godbolt (October 2, 1927 – May 16, 2008), known professionally as Jimmy Slyde and also as the "King of Slides", was an American tap dancer known for his innovative tap style mixed with jazz. Slyde was a popular rhythm tap dancer in America in the mid-20th century, when he performed on the nightclub and burlesque circuits. Henry LeTang (June 19, 1915April 26, 2007) was an American theatre, film, and television choreographer and a dance instructor. Biography Born in the Harlem neighbourhood of Manhattan, LeTang was the second son of Clarence, born in Dominica, and his wife Marie, who emigrated from St. Croix. The couple owned and operated a radio and phonograph repair shop. All their children were musically inclined; in addition to his interest in dance, LeTang played the violin. Savion Glover (born November 19, 1973) is an American tap dancer, actor, and choreographer. Early life The youngest of three sons, Glover was born to a white father, who left the family before he was born, and a black mother. Glover's great grandfather on his mother's side, Dick Lundy, was a shortstop in the Negro leagues. He managed eleven Negro league baseball teams, including the Newark Eagles.Lahr, 270.
