David Burrowes
David John Barrington Burrowes (born 12 June 1969) is a British politician. He was the Conservative Member of Parliament for Enfield Southgate from 2005 to 2017, is the co-founder of the Conservative Christian Fellowship. He has been the Chairman of the Equity Release Council since 2017 Early life Burrowes was born in Cockfosters and was educated at Highgate School and the University of Exeter. Whilst at Exeter, in 1990, Burrowes and Tim Montgomerie founded the Conservative Christian Fellowship. Before entering parliament he worked for Enfield solicitors, Shepherd Harris and Co, specialising in criminal law and was an advocate in police stations and courts in Enfield, Haringey and Hertfordshire. He was an Enfield Borough Council councillor for 12 years. Brian Burrowes
Arnold Brian Burrowes (5 October 1896 – 15 November 1963) was an eminent bishop in the mid part of the Twentieth century. Early life He was born on 5 October 1896 and educated at Wellington and Corpus Christi College, Oxford. His family came from County Cavan in Northern Ireland. Career Military service Burrows saw active service during World War I. On 5 August 1916, he was commissioned into the Royal Irish Fusiliers as a second lieutenant (on probation). On 19 April 1917, he was promoted to temporary lieutenant while attached to an officer cadet battalion. He was promoted to lieutenant on 5 February 1918. He was promoted to acting captain on 18 October 1918 and was seconded from his regiment as an Assistant Area Anti-Gas Officer. On 29 July 1942, he was appointed a temporary military chaplain in the Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve with seniority from 29 July 1941. Patricia A. Burrowes Gomez (born 1961) is an American herpetologist. She is a professor of biology at the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus where she serves as principal investigator of the Amphibian Disease Ecology Lab. Burrowes specializes in amphibian population dynamics. Early life and education Burrowes was born in 1961. In 1986, during her graduate studies, Burrowes and her doctoral advisor William E. Peter Burrowes (1753–8 November 1841) was an Irish barrister and politician. Life He was born in Portarlington, County Laois in 1753.
