Alberto Burri
Alberto Burri (12 March 191513 February 1995; ) was an Italian visual artist, painter, sculptor, and physician based in Città di Castello. He is associated with the matterism of the European informal art movement and described his style as a polymaterialist. He had connections with Lucio Fontana's spatialism and, with Antoni Tàpies, an influence on the revival of the art of post-war assembly in America (Robert Rauschenberg) as in Europe. Emil Burri (1902–1966) was a German playwright and screenwriter who worked on around fifty films during his career, a prominent figure in both Nazi era and post-war German cinema. He also directed the 1942 film ''Beloved World'', his only directorial credit. Franz Burri (1901–1987) was a Swiss political figure who, from his base in Germany, became the leading disseminator of Nazi propaganda in the country. Olivier Burri
Olivier Burri (born 4 September 1963 in Hazebrouck, France) is a rally driver who has competed in the World Rally Championship on various occasions since 1991, almost exclusively at the Monte Carlo Rally. Biography Career in Rally Burri's professional rallying début was at the 1991 Monte Carlo Rally driving a Ford Sierra RS Cosworth. 1991 also saw his début in the European Rally Championship which he has had modest success in. He has entered in eighteen ERC rounds, winning six of them. He has also competed in the Rallye International du Valais, a Swiss-based rally that is also a part of the ERC, which he has won numerous times. René Burri
René Burri (9 April 1933 – 20 October 2014) was a Swiss photographer. Burri was a member of Magnum Photos and photographed major political, historical and cultural events and key figures of the second half of the 20th century. He made portraits of Che Guevara and Pablo Picasso as well as iconic pictures of São Paulo and Brasília. Career Burri studied at the Kunstgewerbeschule Zürich from 1949 to 1953, where he worked under Hans Finsler, Alfred Willimann and Johannes Itten. From 1953 to 1955 he began working as a documentary filmmaker while completing military service. During this time he also began working with Leica cameras. Then he worked for Disney as a cameraman until 1955. René Burri (born 7 July 1941) is a Swiss former footballer who played in the 1960s. He played as a defender. Burri first played for local team FC Birsfelden in the fourth tier of Swiss football. He joined FC Basel's first team for their 1961–62 season under manager Jiří Sobotka. Burri played his first game for his new club in the 1961–62 International Football Cup game away against Sparta Rotterdam. In this game he also scored his first goal for Basel, but this could not save the team from a 2–5 defeat. He played his domestic league debut for the club in the home game at the Landhof on 16 September as Basel were defeated 1–2 by Luzern. He scored his first league goal for his club on 4 March 1962 in the home game as Basel won 4–3 against Fribourg. In their 1962–63 season Basel won the Swiss Cup as they beat the favourites Grasshopper Club Zürich in the Final.
